I honestly think a big reason why Ying'er was cast as the leading lady in Hero with Kevin and Michael Tse is the fact that she cost A LOT less to hire than other popular leading actresses. They probably spent most of the $$ already on hiring Kevin and Michael. The production team wants to capitalize on the current television audience's familiarity with her name via Sealed with a Kiss and Inner Palace: Zhen Huan Biography. Compared to the rest of the female cast for that production, Ying'er is probably the most well-known actress.
