I don't think so. Feng Shao has done non-yu zheng dramas before. Feng Shao first collaborated with Ady An as a couple in Yun Niang produced by Zhang Haidong.
Plus, Yu Zheng is busy with Mei Ren Tian Xa. Mickey He is the only actor that exclusively films for Yu Zheng.

Looks like this will be the third time FSF and Ady are collaborating as a couple after Suo Qing Qiu/Four Women Conflict and Yun Niang. I'd say they have alright chemistry, but not sizzling.

After looking at the pictures again, I don't like Ady's outfits or makeup at all. It looks like Tavia is the main lead. She looks like her character in the series with Charmaine, where she played the evil conbicune (sorry if it's misspelled) .

Ady's makeup is horrible, it makes her looks so old .

The current English title for this production is "The Royal Harem" which centers around the palace politics of royal concubines and consorts set in the Ming dynasty. For her first ever mainland production, Tavia plays the powerful and scheming Royal Consort Wan, who is a favourite of the Emperor. Her character in here will be similar to her role in TVB's "Beyond the Realm of Conscience".

Ady on the other hand, plays the female lead, Chun Hua, who is a kind-hearted and highly intelligent palace maid with a gift for music. When pointed out that her character sounds like the leading role played by Charmaine Sheh in "Beyond the Realm of Conscience", Ady says that she hasn't watched that series before and hence, cannot comment on the similarities and differences.

Filming in Hengdian will last approximately 3 months.

I was really hoping that Ady would play a powerful and scheming beauty, or one driven to villainous ways to survive in the palace, but looks like that won't happen. Nonetheless, I;m glad she's female lead. But her character does sound like Charmaine's in Beyond. Hopefully, the script won't make her nauseatingly "good" and naive. I'm hoping for a battle of wits than cat claws.

What kind of character will William be playing, then? From the first post, he's dressed rather like a scholar. But he's also holding a flute/instrument? So then he must be some kind of palace musician...

Even if Ady's playing a maid, that doesn't mean they can put bad makeup on her face to make her looks so dark and unattractive. Seem like Tavia's getting lots of attention, reprising her role from BTROC.

From this picture, Patrick Tam will play as an eunuch? Tavia's face doesn't looks natural in this image as well.

FSF's character looks so boring. Somehow I don't like the scholar getup that much.
