Gwok Jing's relationship with his father-in-law East Heretic Wong Yerk See was notoriously tense due to their disparate world views and personalities, but what was Gwok Jing's relationship with his own son-in-law Yeh Lut Chai like? I imagine that it must have been very good considering that Gwok Jing and Yeh Lut Chai were very similar to each other in terms of personal values. Moreover, both served the Mongol Empire during their youth only to join the Sung cause later in life. Even their martial arts sets were similar.

in my opinion .yelu chai was a spy sent by Mongol to spy on Sung and Gwok jing do not know about it ,he faked his death and went to tatarstan in russia after the fall of Sung ,he is the modern version of CIA ,KGB,Mossad,Al -Queda etc ,he is actually a heartless and cold without emotion since he actully spend his child hood watching mongol battle with Muslim in middle east .

You know...treachery by Yeh Lut Chai is an intriguing idea as the cause of the final downfall of the Gwok Family.

But it would be so out of character with his depiction in ROCH, unless his deception was so foolproof that even the omniscient narrator was fooled.
