    Default male perspective

Hmm. Hopefully I don't have any font issues this time.

Let's say a woman changes sex and is now a man. If I want a male perspective on things, should I ask this new man? Would his male perspective be invalid since he was originally a woman? What do you think?

Why don't you just ask an actual man? I would not take advice about a man from a "man" that just became a "man".

    Hah! Just curious, as usual.

Although I did get advices from a "man" like that before. And "he" really spoke like a man. I was surprised to learn later that he was a woman before. I guess after some time and experiences, a woman can begin to think like a man.

Even two different males can have totally opposite perspective on things. Many years ago, for example, I was totally against my graduating classmate to go to Thailand to work. But another male classmate was totally for it.
I have a friend who "converted" from male to female. The present "she" is happily married today.
I do not know anyone who "converted" vice versa. Even if "he" gave a perspective, it is different to conclude whether that is a male/female perspective. In the first place, is there such a thing as male/female perspective?

Why would a woman change her sex from female to male? Mainly because she is a man born in a woman's body.

So I don't think there will be any issues asking him about questions from a male perspective.

Besides, this male/female perspective thing is subjective on its own. Will you consider a man (born as a male) be less male if he gives a perspective you do not deem to be male enough?

No. His view won't be invalid. Like Guo Xiang said, he wouldn't have changed sex if he's not a man on the inside already in the first place.

Well he's a man now. Will you ask an ex-Christian turned Muslim about his opinions and accept that he's able to give a muslim perspective? Or you insist hes still Christian despite his practices stating otherwise?

No it's not the same. A woman who one day decides to live as a man, wouldn't have been raised as a male, and be treated as a male all their life. It's quite clear they didn't go through life as most males would.
At the same time, the idea of a male perspective is crock. Men's opinions and beliefs vary from each other greatly, there is no such thing as a homogenous view that can be agreed upon as what a male perceives.
If anything, it's just fluff talk to make the other person feel as if they have something valuable to contribute.

Depends on the question. They still do not have the anatomy of a man.
