I've only seen her in Gong and she was great. Such a desperate (and ambitious) character...all for a man who doesn't love u but just wants to use u... Seriously, give up and go with the 14th prince! It would be nice to see her and Lu Jia Rong (as Fei Cui--the maid of Consort De) acting again with Yang Mi. I think TLY would also make a fine Mu Nian Ci. If they had kept the original story of Yang Kang and picked TLY over Liu Shi Shi, I would have liked LOCH 2008 much more. oh, and I think she might be great as Zhou Zhirou in HSDS also.

i thought she was really pretty good in gong, and she looks very pretty, does she have any dramas role where she the main lead?

I'm not sure if she is the main lead, but TLY has a big role in "Mu Yi Tian Xia". She also looks absolutely beautiful there (from the pics I've seen)--much better than her styling in Gong! I've been meaning to watch that series for a long time, but haven't gotten around to it. Apart from that, she will be one of the four main female leads in the upcoming "Beijing Love Story" (along with Yang Mi, and 2 other actresses I don't know). Not sure if there are any other dramas where she has a major role in. (I have heard she also has a ton of screen time in GXYZM but it seems like people don't like her character in there...)

VoxiVoxi seems to have stopped updating the thread, unfortunately. I was hoping for news about TLY competing on the dancing reality show. I haven't been following news about it in a while, so I don't know if she's still on it, but she was one of the most popular contestants there when I was checking. It seems she's gained many fans on her weibo through it.
She also attended Shanghai International Film Festival to promote the Purple House horror movie she's filming wearing a purple gown. It's the first time she's attended such an event I believe.

Tong Liya's first movie (I think) just came out today. She plays the lead role in "Zhi Zhai" ("Purple House"), a suspense/horror type movie. Pics of her at the press conference:

She looks gorgeous as always but especially tragic/melancholy in these pics...I don't know why (it's something about her eyes maybe) but TLY always looks like such a "beautiful yet tragic heroine" type to me. It'd be interesting to see her play a happy-go-lucky type character someday (or maybe she already has?).

She is so beautiful! However, for some reasons, she gives me an impression that she is not a happy girl by looking just at her face. Her face has this "sad" look.

Tong Li Ya just upgraded to over 2 million fans. Fengmi isn't the only ones who benefited from Jade Palace Lock Heart's success ;p Before Jade Palace Lock Heart, Tong Li Ya was mostly in guest or supporting roles. Her second lead role in Jade Palace Lock Heart helped propel her into stardom.
