Just finished The Slippery Slope by Lemony Snicket, book 10 of A Series of Unfortunate Events.

The way the author writes annoys me terribly, but I'm still hooked onto this series.

Does anyone read this series too?

    To Live by Yu Hua

I've seen the movie based on the book that starred Gong Li. I think I might like the book more than the movie but I guess I can't decide until I've completed the book. So Until then....hehhe

I rather like Shelia O Flanagan's novels. They are of a certain style and can get similar but ok. There is one latest out in the market. I saw it but forgot the title. May be getting that. u guys may wish to check this author out.
