    It's good so far...
I've only read two books from the Disc World series. Can't remember the name of the first one -it had the characters Rincewind and Conina in it. The second one was called The Wierd Sisters (IIRC).

I seem to remember the color of magic being octarine or some such.

Normally I love a good parody but I think Disc World goes overboard with the tongue in check thing.

    Thumbs up Good Book!! ^_^

I just got done reading Maximum Ride: Schools out-forever!!! It's a good book really!!! I recommend it, though if you read it, read part 1 first because that's part two, the first one is Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment... it would actually make a good manga/anime actually

    Just finished

    Truth - a guide

Great book about the nature of truth.

Debates over relativism , realism etc. I was fooled by the size and the cover of the book which made it look like light reading, but in fact the ideas, concepts are pretty profound, and the writing is pretty dense, requiring the reader to hold complicated lines of argument in his head to see what he is driving at . I admit I had to reread a lot of parts cos it is so easy to lose the thread of the argument.
A lot of Christians wear crosses around their necks. You think when Jesus comes back he ever wants to see a ****ing cross? It's like going up to Jackie Onassis wearing a rifle pendant.

Currently, I'm reading THE ODYSSEY by Homer.

Homer writes so strangely...but I think I'm starting to get the gist of it. I think it's actually quite interesting after you get over the whole epic poem style/language. "Sing in me, Muse..."

Not strange considering he is a guy from more than 5 thousand years ago at least.

Besides you are reading a translation..... So the style is more of the translator's style I bet.
