it tends to be a slow start with a fast finish...the other one was posted towards like the middle of the book, then it got interesting so I practically finished the last half of the book in a night resulting in about 2 hours of sleep haha. I'm actually the opposite...I've been catching up on my books that I've neglected my drama watchings

I have just finished Seven Ancient Wonders by Matthew Reilly.
Currently reading The Eclipse by Antonella Gambotto and Contest by Matthew Reilly.
I would like to re-read Catcher in the Rye again for a project I am doing. Also, if any of you know a fiction on teenage suicide or teenage depression, please let me know. Thank you.

Hypatia by Arnulf Zitelmann.
Good book.
The story is set in Alexandrie, around 400 a.c.
Thonis is a an ancient slave that got a position as a scribe in Hypatia's house. She's a philosopher - at that time, woman philosophers were not common. Being the secretary of such an important person, Thonis, among other things, has to note what have been said during secret audiences held by the prefect of Egypt. Then, after a while, Thonis's life is put in danger because of some radicalist christians.
This sounds very boring, but actually the story is very interesting.

Sarakoth, there is actually a movie on that. I haven't even finished the first chapter yet because I have been so busy recently. Will get back to you after I'm finished.

Bought freakonomics in the airport yesterday- seems pretty interesting.

Train Man by Hitori Nakano. My friend recommended it and it seemed very cute, so i picked it up. it's not written in a conventional story form, and is instead a series of forum posts, much like here on spcnet.
here's an excerpt from the back cover.
Boy-bashful and not overly brave-defends girl from obnoxious drunk on a Tokyo train. Girl sends boy a thank-you pair of pricey Hermes teacups. Boy's a geek and doesn't know what to do next. End of story for most nerds-but this one turns to the world's largest online message board and asks for help, so for him it's just the beginning.
i've read about 100 pgs so far, and it's very cute. it's filled with cute macros like

and it was very popular in japan, and has been made into a TV series, movie, and manga series.

I'm still reading Moby Dick but I want to start another book called Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder, which sounds more interesting than a whale of a tale but I guess I haven't given Moby Dick a real chance, so will try to read continously now.
