Read the Author's comments. Absurdly hilarious. I didn't think people could be so petty.

Attacking the reviewer was a mistake.

Oh yeah, I saw that two days ago and had a great laugh. Seriously, who is stupid enough to DEMAND a reviewer to take down his/her review, not to mention a review better than what she deserved?

It's hilarious that she quoted other reviews that gave her 4 and 5 stars, and told him that's what his review should be like.

    I hope she's trolling.

Most unfortunately, she's really serious. Visit her blog for extra kicks. Her grammar is worse than that of the average fifth-grader.

    That link was hilarious!

How come her editor didn't catch any of the grammar mistakes or questionable sentence constructions?

I think she didn't even have an editor.

^^Oh, is that the norm for self published authors? I expected her to be some young thing who was still finding her place in the world...hence the juvenile attitude towards criticism. But she's not. Well, I guess we can be narrow minded jerks at all ages, huh?

Ah, like one of the greatest love quotes of all time:

There are authors who upset/angry about bad review. I don't know about other genre, but, in the romance genre, there are authors like this. A few years ago, I was into romance novels and go to a lot of romance novels site and I read many times of how some authors and/or her fans complain about bad reviews.

I personally also have seen some examples of the complain. But, this author is the most extreme I've seen.

I don't know if it's her making a scene at the review's bog that caused it. I check out her book in amazon and it only has 1/s stars and most of the 1 stars comments were posted between 28-31 March.

Forgive me for being bad in English. What is grammatically wrong with these 2 sentences?

"She carried her stocky build carefully back down the stairs."

"Don and Katy watched hypnotically Gino place more coffees out at another table with supreme balance."

Sentence 1 did conjure up a strange image while sentence 2 has some weird choice of word. But, can't really find the grammatical errors.

I find it hilarious (and sad to a certain degree) that the author freaked out just like that and started using expletives!

Reminds me of my own eight years in the publishing industry, initially as a writer (I got work thrown out so often in the early days that to have work accepted meant a mini celebration with my buddies ) and then as an editor (I got to throw out other people's work! ). Also reminds me of some of the translator/editor/wannabe dramas in the "translations" forum.

Don't think there's anything wrong with the first sentence.

The second sentence the tenses are mixed up and there seems to be a word missing between "hypnotically" and "Gino"

It should be something like: "Don and Katy watched hypnotically as Gino placed more coffees out on another table with supreme balance."

The words "supreme balance" are ambiguous also because you don't know whether Gino has supreme balance or the table has supreme balance, but it's not technically wrong.

Thanks devilz91 for pointing out the errors. Now, I can see it.

I did see the word 'place' but was unsure whether it should be 'placed' or not. I checked onelook dictionary and it only defines 'placed' when used as an adjective. My googling effort didn't help either. Ironically, now that you have pointed it out, google came up with something.

But I totally missed out on the omitted word and the at/on usage.

I thought this Jacqueline lady is extreme, but, I stumbled on this. Miss Howett is mild compared to this.

If "romance" is stuff like the Twilight saga then I'm not surprised the people who created them are crazy.
