I think it's probably easier to just PM everyone to tell them game has started. Don't give them a chance to back out. Once they sign up, they sign their souls!

Works great if you have their best friend hostage. But if they don't end up playing anyway, that screws up the balance, you'd have too many mafia to active players.

How do you know I don't have their best friend or family member or pets at hostage? In any case, I think they'll be here (unless they went up to heaven after the apocalypse this past weekend). Have faith in your fellow spcnetters.

As for mafia numbers, 2 mafia members would be good (unless you want a shorter game with 3). I would recommend cutting down on some of the extra civilian roles. The detective and paramedic are pretty basic, so they should be in the game. As for the other roles, you can choose at your discretion. Just let us know what roles are around .

eh? just go under the subtab under "notifications" on the URQ of your screen.

I wish we could extend the PM limit quota.
PMs don't take up much resources anyway. It's hard co-ordinating things when I have to constantly delete stuff from my inbox, and I can't send PMs cause other people's inboxes are full.
Roles are all sent out. Game will start soon. I'll begin the introduction write up when I have the time.

You can keep posting, night is relatively short. Just signifies when the mafia and the other roles can do their thing.

3 bad lynches excluding the Detective. The detective can determine who is innocent and who isn't. If he lives, he could swing the game well into the Townies favour. If he finds a mafia right off the bat, the town could win outright.
