I've always thought Raymond Lam is over-rated - the guy's soooo everywhere in HK he's become ad nauseum/ho-hum. Anyway, I think Yuan Hong looks more the right couple age for Tang Yan (I just like young lovebirds )

The "other guy" is Raymond Lam who's the hottest, most popular thing in Hongkong now. But I'm a sucker for young love/same age couples. When the rival is just as hot but looks much younger and closer to the girl's age, I ship them auto.

actually, it looks more like he's giving in - like TY has been chasing after him for a long time, and he's been trying to resist, but now, finally, he's giving in to what he really wants and just kisses her (i.e. in the last frame, he finally closes his eyes when they kiss). at least, that's how it's going down in my head

It sounds sweet, I can totally ship YH and TY as a couple. But I really want them to end up together! They're so much more compatible than TY and Raymond Lam.
I definitely agree with you on actors sticking to acting, but don't think his singing will too bad. It sounded pretty decent in his variety show appearances and his bff HG broke into singing pretty well. I still love Liu Yue De Yu. I have my fingers crossed for YH. The only other successful examples I can think of on the spot are Huang Xiao Ming and Zhou Xun. I know a lot of people don't like ZX's singing or speaking voice, but I actually quite like both. For me, HXM's voice is sooo shuai.

Arrrggghh! Yuan Hong & Tang Yan won't be the main OTP couple Her main love/OTP will still be Raymond Lam. YH will be this nasty character out to steal the business and the women from Raymond Lam and Joe Ma, who look like they are forming some necessary alliance against the enemy (YH) - sounds familiar right? (those who have watched Red Cliff/Three Kingdoms). And the nice benevolent boss Chi Shuai will die of some blood cancer within the 1st season. Sad.

Worse, it looks like YH will two-time Tang Yan...and break her heart? BAH!

hmm. i dont know how i feel about this right now. on the one hand, i cant help but hold out hope that in the next season(s?) YH/TY might come together, but this trailer really gave up the vibe that they were only friends/using each other to forget their own emotional woes, unfortunately
it doesn't really seem that YH broke her heart though? the way i saw it was that she was trying to use him to forget the other guy, but i dont think that worked. i dont think TY really actually fell for YH. boo. stupid storyline. i wanted my YH/TY OTP!

oh, and just on the side note? the guy who died, his wife looked wayyyy too old for him. lol. just saying
