Default Traditional Chinese attire through the ages

These are scanned pages and photographs from a number of books, discovered when I was googling for something else. The link below leads to the first set; subsequent links at the bottom of each page lead to the other sets.

This might be useful for anyone who is interested in the history of traditional Chinese attire, or anyone who is doing research on this for story-writing purposes, etc.

To the Mod of Academia: Please feel free to turn this into a sticky as there are many wuxia and ancient serial fans in this forum that are likely to find the pages/photos very interesting. Thanks!

Thanks a lot for the initial post, as that does sound pretty awesome, but now this link is broken. Is there any way to mirror the content someone else or upload direct links into the forums?

Here are some additional links to pages of material on clothing:

Wikipedia can be one place to start, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_clothing, particularly for things like Mandarin Square chest pieces, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandarin_square and things of that nature.

Some comments on changes of women's costumes over the years (221 BCE - now): http://cn.hujiang.com/new/p452213/?op http://costumecommunityservice.tumblr.com/post/55184899330/nannaia-evolution-of-chinese-clothing-and Just a few examples are shown.

A lot of text, not much on pictures: http://polaris.gseis.ucla.edu/yanglu...E_CLOTHING.HTM
