This is one of those serious historical series, so I'm not expecting a happy ending =(...Based on what I read about this piece of history, it's not going be a happy ending...so get ready for some tear jerking moments...well at least this drama is not going to be cheesy like Gong. It's directed by a very renown director in China and targeted toward a matured, educated audience. I've also heard that the dialogue in this drama is mostly in classical Chinese...

A very good fanmade MV of this drama with scenes stolen from other dramas (Scheme of Beauty,etc.)...lol

That's a nicely made MV, plus it reminds me how lovely YM looks in Han costume. Of all the Chinese period costumes she's tried, I think YM still looks best in Han wear (i.e. this drama, MRXJ, WZJ etc.).
There are no shortcuts to any place worth going.

Yeah, she looks a bit like Mo Xue Yuan in MRXJ here with the fringe. I'm looking forward very much to this drama, as I think she's going to be a mature & heroic character like Xue Yuan. And this role is the lead female role.

Just want to give all FengMi fans a head up, FSF and YM don't have much screen time together in this series despite being the main leading couple. During the press conference, FSF jokingly complained that they spent all of their screen time looking for each other or always missing each other. But I'm just praying what little screen time they have together will be sizzling with chemistry...lol

I love war stories and rousing battle scenes. Right now I'm watching YM's CCTV drama Wang Zhao Jun from years ago and I just realized where Red Cliff copied their turtle formation battle scene from!

IMO FSF looks awful in long hair so i don't care about seeing him with YM (remember FSF in Mei Ren Xin Ji ). His saucer eyes and long hair just don't gel together - that kind of eyes look better in short hair. i hope there's a hot love rival for YM's affections.

HAHA...you're not alone. I'm a FengMi shipper too, but I try to take a rational stance about their private relationships. I'm an outsider who has no say in the matter anyway and should just enjoy what they have to offer onscreen. Sometimes my curiosity can't stop me from delving into their gossips...HAHAHA

As of this moment, both denied their dating rumors, saying they are just extremely good friends and they treat each other like family members. They've known each other for 8 years since YM first collaborated with FSF when she was 17 in this telemovie that got banned in China. They are also currently neighbors in real life, living in the same residential complex/district in Beijing. However, they weren't close before Gong, but just mere acquaintances since they only spent like 10 days together filming that telemovie.

I just know that FSF likes to mention YM on his microblog (weibo) and in his interviews involuntarily. From their interviews, I can definitely tell YM seems to have a major influence on FSF. YM loves to read almost about anything she feels she doesn't know much about. So she tends to recommend her favorite books to her staff and friends, which include FSF. The funny thing is YM would lend her own copy of her favorite books all marked up with notes to FSF, monitors his reading progress by asking him to take his own notes and she would check them to make sure he actually read the books. LOL...

YM said FSF is the type of guy who thinks a lot, likes to take care of people around him, and also concerns himself too much about what other people think. This causes him, according to YM, to place too much pressure on himself and easily burn himself out with stress. While YM's character is extremely independent, bluntly honest, and very outspoken, which causes her to offend a lot people in entertainment industry due to her straightforward personality. What's interesting is that their character really complement each other. FSF said in an interview that YM is really good at helping him to 'de-stress' when he feels too much pressure because of her 'happy-go-lucky attitude' and outlook on life. While FSF tries to soften YM's blunt honesty since FSF is very meticulous about what he says in public interviews.

The Chinese Baidu's FengMi Forum just celebrated their one year anniversary and put together a really good digital magazine. Even though it's completely in Chinese, you can still take a look since it has a lot of great FengMi's moments and photos. Here's the link: http://tieba.baidu.com/bakan/view?kw...3%DD&kid=18198

In regards to the latest FengMi's gossip, the Chinese paparazzi in April snapped some photos of FSF arriving in Beijing Airport with YM's parents, but YM was absent.

FSF arriving at Beijing Airport and I think the lady wearing black to FSF's left is YM's mom

Sorry if I digress from this thread and my endless FengMi's babbling.

That vid is so pretty! Han costume definitely suits YM amazingly.

Lol, you guys gushing on about FengMi makes me kinda want to watch Gong because I keep hearing about their amazing chemistry...I have to admit I disliked him in MRXJ (and as xiaolong said, I don't find him good-looking in period dramas--he can be quite handsome in modern-day wear though). However I guess I should stop judging him based on one role! Maybe if they have really good chemistry in HFQQ I'll go back and just watch their scenes in Gong.

It does sound like their real-life personalities are quite compatible though. It's a good thing that YM is so easy-going...there are so many rumours and gossip about the poor girl these days!
