    Cool Dicky Cheung (張衛健)

I've become a huge fan of Dicky's after watching Journey to the West recently. I know that series was released a number of years ago, but I just had purchased it on VCD. It's ashame that he was not casted in part II, it just wasn't the same without Dicky highly energetic Monkey King...sigh . Anyway, I am looking for recommendations of his series which ones to see and not to. Thanks!

Here's a Dicky Cheung thread of sorts: http://spcnet.tv/forums/showthread.php?t=5394
The heading is misleading since it's just a rumor, but you can still find plenty of interesting info in there. I've only seen Dicky in "The Duke of Mount Deer 2000" so far, but I've heard good things about "The Treasure Basin", "Ji Xiang Ru Yi" ("Happy and Lucky") and "Smart Kid".

I haven't gotten the chance to watch "treasure Basin" yet but "smart kid " is funnie. I enjoyed that series.

I like Dicky too. He is one of the few actors who can make me cry! hehehe. He's very good with the emotional scenes.

Default Recommendation Needed for Dicky Series

I am in the middle of deciding which Dicky series to watch next, which one is better and worth watching--
    Chess Warrior,
    Swordsman
    or
    Resurecting The Husband?

Treasure Basin is quite good; the character which Dicky portrays is definitely different from his previous roles(from so far that I have seen). It is a sure winner. I had just completed "DOMD 2000," I have fallen head over heels for him. May I say more....

dicky is my fav actor up there with steven chow.

did anyone watch the taiwan(i think) serial "mr.winner", where dicky plays this crazy rich boy who whenever he has a high fever becomes extremely smart and posses powerful kungfu which came in handy when he needed to solve crimes that put his friends at risk. i really like this serial but my family hates it for sum reason..

    Hmmm.....

Does anyone else besides me harbour the deep suspicion that Dicky is just a cheaper 'tv-rental' version of Stephen Chow? (minus the pee-pee-poo-poo jokes of course)

Watch for their manerisms and the closeness with which Cheung's resume mirrors Chows works in the cinema... Duke of Mount Deer, Journey to the West, Shao... I mean.. Kungfu Soccer.... yes.... *ahem*

Of course no offence to hardcore fans, just a humourous comparison I noticed

I'm a fan of Dicky too. I love Journey To The West. It was sad he wasn't in Part 2 but Benny did a great job too. I just finished watching his new serie, Treasure Basin with Zhang Ting and Fan Bing Bing. It was good.

I was kind of shocked when I saw his age was 40. He looks young but if I look closely I could see wrinkled and stuff. Lol.

Did anyone watch Treasure Basin? If yes, did you see the part where people was breaking and wrecking the umbrellas that he made, for a reson, I forgot. I was looking into his eyes and it shows everything that he felt. So many emotions..... And there's more...I think...

I like his series Journey To The West | but don't like Monkey King-Quest For The Sutra. The storyling kind of sucks. I only rent it because Dicky was in it! But it wasn't even that good.
