My choice for GX is random. Yes, I am still lost and confused. But it is getting better. Now, at least I know there are two mafia. But, I am still confused:

No one has replied you. So, I'll try. From what has been written by BM in the other thread, I understand that the detective can ask the host 1 yes or not question every night. As for the doctor, I think he can save/protect whoever he wants.

1. It won't be a problem. Doc can not save the person who is chosen by the public to be lynched. He can only choose to save someone from being killed by the mafia. So, even if the doc manage to save someone every single night, the number of players will still decrease. The game won't be stuck forever.

Odb is townie, we lynched wrong. Doctors can't save lynches.
Doctors don't know who is mafia who is townie. They're allowed to protect one person at night. If there are no death in a night, there is a good change that person the doc saved is a townie. All this BS about mafia choosing not to kill at night or choosing to kill themselves is silly. If I was mafia, I would always night kill. The first night kill isn't really going to point any fingers.
There are two mafias among us.
The power roles tend to be quiet, so yeah it is possible Jaded is doc/det, but I doubt it. It seems like she is probably MIA. She's clever, but she plays fair, and doesn't seem like a mafia. But given it took long time for last night to end, who knows.

Doc can't save people from lynch during day time. He or she can save someone during night from mafia's assassination. Since doc doesn't know mafia for sure, he or she can protect mafia member mistakenly. If doc do it, someone from townies must die. It would be not so wise to mafia to kill one another. I don't think that's even possible. Mafia members must give one final decision to BM through PM who they want to kill. To be killed during night, a mafia must commit suicide. Under certain circumstances it has a potential to be good decision, but it's very unlikely in the early stages of the game. The only thing remain mystery is whether doc can save himself or herself.

everybody (including mafia, doctor, and detective) SHOULD vote to lynch someone because everyone's opinion should count. Plus, some folks might be able to form an argument for or against a member's innocence based on their voting. THe doctor is amongst one of the 9 of us alive. If he isn't you (wkeej) or Jaded, then he must've voted last time. However, his identity is unknown to us (the players) unless he chooses to reveal himself.

The basics of the game is that there are 2 teams: mafia & non-mafia

There are 2 mafia members, who's identity are unknown except to each other at the begining of the game.

The other team consists of non-mafia members. This includes doctor and detective. The identities of the doctor and detective should not be known to anyone at the begining of the game. If they want, they may choose to reveal themselves. Doctor will try to guess who the mafia aims to assasinate at night and pick that person to save (done through PM with narrator during night phase). Detective's job is to find out who the 2 mafia members amongst us are. He has the special ability to ask the narrator (BM) through PM whether or not a certain member is Mafia. However, he is only allowed to ask about one person during each "night" phase.

During the day phase (ie right now), everyone wants to act as if they are innocent civilians and through the interactions during the day, hopefully find out who is who.

There's no such thing a "fair" in this game since it's online. In real life, you might be able to get away with cheating by pretending to close your eyes at night and peeking, but there's really no way to cheat online.

Yes. This is an information game. Deception and strategy is how you wage this war. Think of it like the real story. You're in a house with a group of people, one of them is the murderer. You're gonna work with people to find out who the murderer is. The murderer is going to trick people to make themself look innocent.
