Series title and name of actor???

Hello, I'm new here and hopefully I'm in the right forum for this question:

Does anybody know the title of this series (80s?) and the leading actor in it. I watched this as a young girl and couldn't comprehend much of it, but when I rewatched it again the other day, it's actually pretty good. And the soundtrack...oh how it brings back memories. Here are some still shot of it. Sorry the pictures aren't very clear. I took it from our old tv using my mobile phone.

It's about two twins separated at birth. The good twin is raised by a woman who later turned crazy (due to love/jealosy?) and the evil twin remained with the biological parents.

Has there ever been a remake of this?

Hi Pimpco. I do not know the particular version you are searching for. The attached photo does not ring a bell.

But, from the plot description you gave, this seems to be an adaptation of Jin Yong's novel 'Xia Ke Xing'. So far, I only know 3 versions of it for series and one version for movie.

- TVB version starring Tony Leung and Sheren Teng. English title is Hap Hak Hang
- Taiwan version starring Max Mok
- China version starring Wu Jian
- Shaw Brothers' movie

It was the latter version (Taiwanese version w/Max Mok) that I was referring to. I'm re-watching it again, and still love it!

I only realised you have attached 3 screencaps when I reread your earlier posts now. I thought you just attached one picture and the picture I happen to click is that of the girl.No wonder it didn't ring a bell. If I see the other 2 screencaps, it would have rang a bell.

But, anyway, glad I'm able to get the correct one on my list.

You are so lucky. I've watch all version of XKX completely except this one. I was not able to get my hand on a copy. I was only able to watch it online last time but the person didn't upload all the episodes. So, there are large chunk in the second half of the series that I didn't get to watch.

This is indeed a good series. It's not the most faithful to the novel, but, I like that they developed the character of the bad twin and give it more prominance. In the novel, the good brother is the main character. The bad brother only comes out near the end when the mysterious things that happen to the good brother is explained.
