Default A question about 1st HuaShan Tournament

I believe it was mentioned in the first ed that HYS had Divine Finger Flick and a Pi Tian Zhang (Heaven Splitting Palm). What happened to the latter? Was it removed in subsequent editions or did HYS decided eventually that it was a sub-par and unworthy technique? By LOCH, there was no mention of this palm. And during his palm-duel with YG in ROCH, he used Luo Ying Shen Jian Zhang; a clear indication what he considers his best palm technique.

Ironic I am asking a question about myself, huh?

There's no Pi Tian Zhang in the 1st edn, only Pi Kong Zhang. Trust me, I have the 1st edn of She Diao right in my hard disk. It didn't go anywhere, you can still find it in the 2nd and the 3rd edns. This forgotten technique might have been kickass had HYS been at least at XF's level of internal energy.

What happened? Why did HYS forgot all about honing this skill?

Perhaps Pi Kong Zhang was as useful as Xiao Yao Quan.

If I recall correctly, there's almost an exact palm name in Dragonball.

It seems to be a fairly common name for a martial arts technique in wuxia: in the first story of Gu Long's LUK SIU FUNG, one of Yim Teet San's dinner guests was also known for a signature technique of this name.
