Blame on HY and WAL-D. They killed the King's spy then turned on Douchebag. Say they decapitated him and took his head to Xiang. Then produce some random body in a Xiwu count's clothes. Then beg the King to step Pan's attacks on Xiang to avenge her fellow countryman. King naturally don't have much men to spare, so no choice but to re-deploy a general familiar with Xiang - Lt. Gen Yi. So now Cutie Pie has free reign to direct Prince Ying's campaign.

Simple.

Easiest (and most brainless) would be a secret tunnel. If necessary Cutie Pie can dispatch a task force to create a diversion at the city gates.

*shrug*. I just thought it would look even more suspicious for them to claim that Huo yuan is from Xiang. Since douchebag already claimed that HY is a xiwu bodyguard, to claim that HY is now from Xiang would verify that douchebag was lying, which makes him even more suspicious. Hence I figured it was probably easier for xiwu to play the "we have no association" game and to disown douchebag.

Or, they can still try the "let's blame Xiang" game, though maybe wall-e killing both HY and XQ rather than putting HY and wall-e on the same team?

No choice, the 1st option is equally bad 'cos Bimbo, being bimbo, saved Douchebag from the King earlier, and now this. They can always say HY is a Xiang spy who happened to earn Douchebag's trust.

The 2nd option sounds more plausible but then we need to cook up an excuse for WAL-D to get rid of them. Hmm...

The whole problem with laying blame on HY as a spy is that AFTER XQ becomes suspcious, it seems a little too convenient for xiwu to just lay everything on HY. It's probably easier cooking up a story for WALL-D or some random Xiang person to have killed them both.

But Bimbo identified Douchebag as her fellow countryman. Lady Yi didn't know that. And then I still don't know why Bimbo/Cutie Pie would want to send men to get rid of them, but anyhow, now the thing is to extricate all parties from this whole durian stew.

Let's just say they confronted WAL-D and things turned violent and then he killed them to present their heads to Xiang since Douchebag is a Xiwu nobility, so he has a nice price on his head at Xiang anyway.

well, i initially thought that perhaps from xiwu folk's point of view, it was better getting rid of Xue Qian before he can do anything to sabotage the King's favor for Yue Fei'er (emergency decision to secure the situation first). And after he's dead, all kinds of retrospective explaination could be made up . But the lucky bastard got saved!

But of course, pretending that WAL-D went berzerk and killing them all works just as well . As long as they are "dead".

In any case, you can have the final decision since you're writing it .

Also, if you think Bimbo pointing Douchbag out as fellow Xiwu person could cause a problem in the future, I can always go back and change the minor detail if you like

It's OK. I can just try to work things out from here. After all I wrote some crazy stuff too.

They are going to get deported to Sword City? That... isn't good for them. I guess that is plausible if it can be kept under lids... It's not wise to align Jiancheng with politics when their Man is out there prowling, subduing the martial artists of other states because it will be interpreted with political tones and that's not good for Jiancheng AND Xiwu. Basically it's going to blow Xiwu's plan out of the water.
