OK, to make this simpler, the city given to Pan retains the name Wancheng, while the southern territory in the prefecture is incorporated into Xinye/Xiangyang instead.

Unless the Pan army/government overthrows the Donghai administration and takes over the city, then the lands still, at least in name, belong to Donghai.

I don't think Gen. Huang didn't not return to his lands. It's amazing if HRH Ying keeps EVERYONE in Jianye, leaving all his other lands unattended. And Bebe already said the rest about the administration. The generals were really summoned for the coronation and the spiffy stuff like dinner and dance, that's all to it.
Yep, the 'contested' land in northeast Donghai legally belongs to Donghai, and Donghai civil administrators are still in place. Yep, the spearhead of Pan's army has long left for Feng.

However, the Pan army still has to run its supply lines and secure a safe route for withdrawal if necessary, therefore they still maintain a strong presence in Donghai lands. Coupled with the lack of a proper Donghai military garrison and commander in the area, how would the civilian officials dare oppose Pan's army? Pan doesn't really need to outrightly demand that Donghai turn the land over to them; essentially they are already treating it like their own home.

I'm planning to use this as a stage for hightened tension and source of conflicts in the future Pan-Donghai rivalry for the Mandate of Heaven. (Orchestrated by the caring hands of Cutie Pie, naturally)

P.S. ~ The Pan army sneaking around is a tactic meant for Feng, not for Donghai.

Erm yes. That's what I'm saying about Feng.

Hmm I think it's been too long you've forgotten the finer details. Let me sum it up for you.

Gen. Huang and his army (at least 50,000-men strong) are still in Shouchun. Prince Ying took with him only a really small number of solders from the Donghai troops garrisoned at Shouchun. So yes, Gen. Huang and the majority of the army are actually still at their same old place.

Also, even if Gen. Huang leaves Shouchun for good, it's illogical for him and Prince Ying to not appoint a military officer for replacement and/or not have proper military garrison, because throughout the story Prince Ying and Gen. Huang have been mistrustful of Pan, especially Gen. Huang, who outrightly spoke out against Pan's intentions in front of Pan's generals.

The stage is already set for heightened tension and future conflict between Pan and Donghai... and of course credits will be given to cutie pie and her crew... mwahahahahaha. More drama to come. Stay tuned for the next episode.

Oops. Did the line sound that ambiguous? The line really means she's not excited that Nangong Xu's getting a bride.

Btw, do any of the mooby Xiwu princes need a bride?

Nanxi King is twins/triplets with Prince Ying and Cutie Pie or something? Or is age 20 just a popular number? :P
    Well, it's a convenient number.

Meh, the more tension the better. Who says you can't have more than one source of tension. Though, I think, for now, Shouchun and Guangling should belong to Donghai, at least in name.

The failure of delivery may very well... force Donghai to cede lands...

Updated map to reflect the Contested territories (grey)

Nope. Unless Nanxi can convince Xiwu that they make a better ally than Donghai.

Is there a reason they can't ally with both? Considering Nanxi's "leave me alone and I won't bother you" mode, forming an alliance is more like Nanxi begging Xiwu not to attack (since the only one who is actually capable launching an attack on Nanxi is Xiwu)

Plus, Donghai is severely damaged and weakened. If Xiwu is planning to take out Pan in any way, even with the help of Donghai, they'll probably need quite a large amount of military force. Even if Pan is unsuspecting, they are still a large and powerful Kingdom. Even if you manage to sack the capital and kill the King (quickest way to defeat), there is no say that the rest of Pan isn't going to rebel. It'll take quite some time and effort to actually subdue Pan (unlike Donghai that was already in chaos). Thus, it'll be pretty annoying if Nanxi suddenly decides to chip at their heels on the other side, especially considering that Sang is only recently conquered and most likely still in a rebel phase.

Don't think Nandi would care what donghai does unless it attacks Nanxi. It's not like the two of them are competing for xiwu's affections

Then Xiwu isn't interested in an alliance with Nanxi either.

Made some minor changes to details of first half of post 172. Redistributed the quotes to different characters. No major changes to plot, though.

He will leave when icy says he left .

You can use Mi Xiu to be the emissary if you want, since it was his plan. He can be a bit zealous and stubborn at times. Or you can create someone else to be the emissary. I don't think it matters all that much who it is.
