Believe it or not, that was actually not a problem. The fatal mistake Pan made was already dealt right at the beginning of the story. After reading the Prologue & the 1st few pages of this thread, it was clear that 'Heaven' (i.e. we ) had virtually delivered Pan into Xiwu hands.

Yes. Now that Cutie Pie's covert operations have borne fruit and Xiwu's military preparations are almost complete, they have updated their foreign policy accordingly.

That depends on how long news takes to go public in those days without Facebook and Twitter. Xiwu is obviously not going to specially send a messenger to Pan with an edict that says, "Hey, we are not calling you 'King' anymore. 'Prince' sounds more appropriate for you. Cheers!"

Unless Xiwu made it a secret (which doesn't seem like it), i suppose rumors will spread quickly enough into the ears of others in a matter of days, even if no official declaration is made.

Though, another thought that came to mind, are we going by the english titles or the chinese titles, since King and Prince would techinically be the same word Wang (王) in Chinese, in which case, nobody would really know the difference.

Nope, not that either. I will get round to explaining it after I post on Feng's fate.

For the convenience of contributors and readers who don't know Chinese, we can just stick to the English titles, and where ambiguous, we can always add a footnote differentiating the corresponding titles in Chinese.

Update on the Pan vs. Feng front.

Xiwu will not be acting anytime soon since they're waiting for a spark to ignite an all-out war, and also because the other storylines have not progressed to that stage yet.

Xiwu used to, before the start of this story, remember? The tiresome skirmishes with Pan that never got anywhere - Cutie Pie introduced reforms to modernize the Xiwu military, while Pan didn't really progress much from where they were.
