I'm really curious about Wallace's character. Is he European or Chinese? Or a Chinese who chose to reside in Europe for a time?

I doubt if any one has an answer to that question except for the producer, haha. His caribbean character is a made-up. It isn't existed in the novel. Honestly, I hope they have more crime investigation scenes.

the novel is really good, my sister read it... but they changed the storyline completely.
Wonder how is Meng Tian Chu here, he's indeed a very very very intelligent guy in the book.

Meng Tian Chu, around 25 years old. He is a mysterious person who suddenly appear in Zheng Hai. Looks like a Chinese but dresses like a foreigner. Doesnt seem to know much stuffs but is handsome and young, plus rich. And he knows a lot of skills that Chinese dont appreciate. Happy character, jovial, unbounded.

I'm confused about the story as well. In the novel Meng Tian Chu supposed got married but kicked out by his bride. In this drama it seems that Duan Ping is getting married. In the 3 pics below with MTC and Ge Xin, they climbed up the wall and got into Xia mansion. In this pic below, Duan Ping thought they were robbers and asked the guards to get them. The question is: why was Duan Ping dressed as a groom in Xia mansion?

I am getting pissed off by the producer. Xing Meng Shi Ye is supposed a very good story with over 6 million hit rate in China... but look at all the changes they have made. Well, I guess we need to find ways to entertain ourselves.

Hmmm, because Duan Ping couldn't find his wife when he went to the bride room, he frantically searched for her. He asked his guards to search every single spot in the Xia mansion. But unknown to him the bride had already ran off with Meng and not in the mansion. She was looking happy and would live happily ever after with Meng...
