I kinda searched the site for Ming dynasty costumes and look what I've found... I guess dramas nowadays are not truthful to history anymore as long as they are interesting (and making the characters more handsome, lol). Would one day men are no longer required shaving their heads for Qing dramas?

@Tobeme: Wow, now I see where the Koreans from earlier dynasties got their influences from. I guess Korea got influenced by the Tang and Ming dynasty robes. They did have a lot of trading between China and Korea in history.

those outfits are soo government and scholarly...tvb shows that feature people wearing clothes like that are usually about doctors, scholars, family, gov, etc...I honestly can't recall (and can't picture) a martial arts based show wearing such clothes

Apparently these are Ming dynasty costumes as seen in TVB dramas. Probably Wuxia people dressed differently? Anyway, History has never been my strong subject and maybe someone has better ideas about this...

I can't be sure, but I think costumes in those types of dramas are more characteristic of regular people rather than the Emperor and his people.

I think it is. But they're a bunch of wuxia heroes, and aside from that, I think it's pretty accurate?
There's no way in hell anyone can get Sanniang to dress like a normal girl of her time, lol!

From the beginning the producers loudly declared that they would tend to the costumers carefully to ensure the best designs are made. They even said they didn't want Wallace's manager to get involved with the design. Hmmm, what happened to their designers?

She did (twice I think). Once as a courtesan and the other we didn't get to see (probably in the 5 episode that never released).

Propaganda. Before the show was started the producers discussed how they wanted to take ownership of the designs. Also, likes a beauty pageant, they released videos of the females auditing for the show. I do hope they will launch promo campaigns as good as Tangren as we then can see more of Nicky and Wallace on stage, hehe.
