Based on the novel it's supposed a time travel series. But I guess they have to make Wallace someone from overseas so that he could bring in "new sciences" to the scenes as time travel story is now banned in China. Besides, there are too many time travel stories out there already.

Is Wallace going to play an Italian?!! As in a white-skinned gweilo Italian? Or a Chinese maybe from one of Zheng He's naval expeditions who happened to stay behind in Italy... OK, my imagination running wild here But I have a strong suspicion there will be some reference to Zheng He (a famous explorer/seafarer during the Ming Dynasty) here.

This will be my most anticipated series for the next couple of months. It's just this explosive combination of Nicky + Wallace, Nicky + Wallace!!!
