If all the best martial artists make a Condor Hero Prequel? Who will be who?

Imagine old school martial artists like Bryan Liang Jia Ren, Gordon Liu, and etc. 2nd generation martial artist Sammo Hung, Donnie Yen, Vincent Zhao, Jet Li, Wu Jing, and etc. All of them join in a cast into a maybe two part film like Red cliff of a Legend of Condor Hero prequel:
-Telling the story of 1st duel of Huashan
-How Zhou Botong got locked in Peach blossom island
-Yinggu's affair with Zhou Botong
-How Shangguan Nan give his iron palm sect leader position to Qiu Qian Ren
-Mei ChaoFeng an Chen XuanFeng's affair

Other possible plot added:
-A brief story of Lin Chaoying and Wang Chongyang.
-A brief appearance of Qiu Qianchi and Gongsun Zhi.

WCY is a taoist. It's very likely he had head hair. Gordon "hairless" Liu is more fit to play the Shaolin reverend killed by Huogong Toutuo

Funny, I always imagined Gordon Liu to be Cheng Quan (Golden Maned Lion's teacher) in HSDS, but sorry wrong series....

I would go:
Hong Qigong aka Jackie Chan (more playful)
Wang Chongyang aka Jet Li (strikes me as a guy who will turn a girl down multiple times then sulk in a tomb)
Huang Yaoshi aka Donnie Yen (since he did master music in real life and looks a bit more scholarly)

Jackie Chan fits either Hong Qigong or Zhou Botong. I see him as Hong Qigong, but I don't think any other 'martial artist' can work Botong's character like Jackie Chan can.

I see Gordon Liu can deliver the job as he acted well as taoist Bai Mei in Kill Bill2

I play Donnie Yen, Sammo Hung, Jet Li, Vincent Zhao and Yuan Biao instead of Jackie Chan is because Jackie Chan's martial arts is too off and too snapstick-like compare the other four.

Vincent Zhao acted very well before as a villain in Fang Shiyu movie. His more hard style of martial arts makes me think he suit well to be Ouyang Feng.

Jet Li's martial arts style is more fluid among them. The soft fluid style suit for Huang YaoShi.

Donnie Yen was famous for his staffplay and spearplay. He may execute a more realistic and beautifully choregraphed 'Dog Whacking Staffplay'
And I see Donnie Yen's 'Subdueing Dragon 18 Palms' will be more majestic and realistic than Jackie Chan's snapstick style.
Donnie Yen's too stouty to be Huang YaoShi compared to Jet Li.

Remember the setting its before Guo Jing and Huang Rong are born. So Zhou BoTong is still much a loser. Weak in martial arts. A playful heckless dude. This will make Qiu QianRen a formiable villain back then as Ying Gu (acted by Michelle Yeoh) struggled to rescue her only son from him.

As in novel, Wang Chongyang was written far older in age among the exponent so a much older actor should act as Wang Chongyang. Thats why I chose one actor from the first generation martial arts actor: Gordon Liu.
Unless there another better FIRST GENERATION martial arts actor choice to replace him.

For example, cast Jackie Chan in a serious role. Like Sweeper Monk. In LOCH, he can be Yideng.

But if movie.. it need to be cast right...i think.
Not just for exploring but using their martial arts styles, physique and other skills to the max if possible.

Good question. Depends on the male lead.
If male lead is Wang Chongyang. Female will be Lin Chaoying.

If its Huang Yaoshi, it will be Feng Heng.

If its Zhou Botong, it will be Ying Gu.

The story evolve around around the Greats when young and the 1st HuaShan Lun Jian.
