No problem about that part about tracking down Melanie. It took a while to get her to respond, but once she did, she rewarded me with spoilers.

Melanie wouldn't tell me who will be casted as Bak Fei Long, but I begged her to cast Kevin Cheng, since I think he's so hot and certainly on par with all the other hot men already in her story. Another alternative would be Huang Xiao Ming. He's hot, too.

I'm wondering about what got Bak Yuek Lam so mad at her hubby, too. Could it be that he had cheated on her in the past?

I'm also wondering about what trouble awaits Sit Chung Nam. I actually find him rather amusing and sweet and not as scary as he seems. Maybe it's because he's so sweet to Yan. I bet he'll be severely injured and Yan will suddenly realize that she loves him!

I'm neutral towards Kevin Cheng. His acting didn't impress me in Beyond the Realm of Conscience (Gong Sum Gai/宫心计) and a role in BBJX only just managed to get himself redeemed in my eyes. I'm fine with Huang Xiao Ming, although his acting in ROCH06 was slightly exaggerated.

Aesthetically, both guys look okay, so I don't mind if Mel casts them in her story just so readers can visualise BFL.
I actually had Ken Chang in mind for BFL (he was Yang Zong Bao in Legendary Fighter - Yang's Heroine and Cui Shan in HSDS2009). Chen Kun (he was hawt in Painted Skin II ) or Yuan Hong suit as well.

Cheat? On BRL? Big no no. Not just because Hu Ge is cast as MJH. I just don't see MJH (the character) as a two-timing sort of guy. Hopefully it's just because they couldn't reach a consensus about some serious matter....as long as it's not cheating.

I didn't know who Ken Chang was until you identified him as the guy playing Yang Zhongbao. Yup, he certainly would be a great Bak Fei Lung. He wasn't who I had in mind, but he would be a very good choice - handsome, scholarly, and just has that very gentlemanly aura.

You certainly have a high opinion of Miu Jing Hung. Kuk Wai was a perfectly nice guy, too, and yet, look what happened.

I'm seriously thinking of adding in a love interest for Sung Hin (Yuan Hong). He won't have a huge role, but it will be important enough.

The only impression I have of Kevin Cheng in an ancient drama is the one in Beyond the Realm of Conscience (can't really remember the title of the drama) with Charmaine Sheh. He looked handsome but was quite wooden instead of scholarly. However, I suppose we just need to imagine his face and don't have to watch him act in a written story.
