When Andy Lau's birthday, his best friend invited Idy Chan secretly to surprise him. And surprise him indeed, he was like, jumping up and down and making a small sound "ah" when he first saw Idy Chan appeared. Andy even on his knee and gives Idy the flowers, that's soooo sweet. I guess that Andy is still having a big curse toward Idy Chan even after ROCH83. That is like....wow=AMAZING!

I was watching Idy Chan last night as XLN.. personally, i still belive she is my fav XLN.. She didn't have the innocence as LYF.. but in general, i thought she got the coldness down and everything else.
She didn't get the scenes that could express XLN's innocence very well nor did she get good choreography as LYF.

I don't think it just me,, but Idy left many deep impressions on other viet audience. Even the host of Paris By Night Nguyen Ngoc NGan made a remark about her saying how, " tran ngoc lien vai Tieu Long Nu co doi mat lo mo" ( idy's XLN has these sleepy/hazy eyes.)

I totally agreed with you, Idy's XLN is the BEST XLN ever. She did left a very deep impressions on me and to the people. No one beat her in acting. I like her custome and Carman's custome because it's not too fancy.

Unfortunately, I'm not Idy's or Carman's fans.

I understand, some ppl are quite so low that they even make very bad stuffs up about other pass XLNs actresses, which is very annoying.

I also hear that Jin Yong stated that "Idy is the best acted XLN ever." He stated himself that he enjoyed watching Andy-Idy couple version.

I am neither fans as well, but i did like IDy as XLN and Grand Canal. But i am saying that it's people's opinions and who cares if they believe that so and so was accurate from the novel. I really like Idy in ROCH83, Semi-God 1982, and in Grand Canal 84 a lot. Her acting is super fantastic. Idy looks pretty in that Grand Canal series and with Tony Leung too. I heard that she has about 22-23 customes in that series. Grand Canal is a 15 yrs. or something TVB Anniversary series.

Yea, Idy Chan was once a very famous popular actress in TVB in the 80's and 90's decades.

No, more like Romeo and Juliet. I couldn't agree more with you!! Andy's hidden romance for Idy really benefitted the series. I only wished that Idy didn't love Fat at that time and just dump him for Andy. We all know that never happened.

Thank you, Sunshine and Astronema, for posting these beautiful calendars and articles of Idy. I especially like the one taken w/Felix because that was the very first series I watched her in and she was gorgeous. Seeing pictures of her and Andy brings back so many memories. ROCH 83 is still and will always remain my favorite series and story forever.

Although I'm not too fond of her movies and that "Raise the Red Lantern" she did w/Lau Tak Kai/Cai. Idy is my second favorite actress, right after Barbara.

NOOOO....I don't think she's a lesbian. Honestly, I wouldn't stop admiring her or stop idolizing her any less if she really was. She's been through so much drama with men. It's not wonder if she takes the path Maggie Cheung did. Plus, the last I heard, she's happy with her single life right now. Hosting charity events and guest-starring in talk shows like those of Margie or other people I don't know the name to.
