JSA is one of the best Asian movies I've ever seen in a long time. Its intensity surpases all the great Hollywood war/military drama classics such as A FEW GOOD MEN or Rules of Engagement.
It's cinematography is flawless especially during the first stand off scene between the North and the South Koreans during the snowy day and when they first found each other in the grass field. The ending and the climax scene also gave you one of the most intense moment in any moving picture history.

The story is deep and complex. You can really feel how the two sides of Korea feels and think about each other. It is also an excellent friendship saga. The only arguing weak point is the English speaking actor/actresses.

    Get it if you can.

HAHA... I have totally different opinino than you do.

JSA was written by a person who doesn't understand the situation of N Korea and S Korea well... also the dark politics and the involvement of US overpowering the situation.

It was made to entertain the people rather than telling the truth.

Lee Young Aeh was majoring in German. Since she set to be officer from Swiss.. they should have asked her to speak German instead. (just my thoughts... blah.. her english was so so.. very poor)

Lee Byong Hyon's acting was a bit weak... I rather liked Song Gang Ho;s acting.

It sure was entertaining.. but far from the real truth as far as the reality issues.

Yes.. and I would recommend the series to watch it. IT is fun if you don't know the N and S Korea situation at all.. or just vaguely.

    It's a basically a ghost movie.

It's a about a Taxi driver who moves into a new apartment. And when the building is about to be torn down, he remains there with four other people remain on the same floor. The taxi driver learns that a man died in a fire in the same apartment not too long ago. Also 30 years ago, a husband, who ran away with the woman living next door, killed his wife and abandoned a newborn baby who almost died in a fire. With the time passing, all these people on the same floor developed closer relationship. Each of these characters had some types of dark past before and somehow we are about to find out .... were these fires really accidents and is there some sorts of connections between all these mysterious and strange events ?

Memento Mori is an awesome thriller, horror flick. This movie can give you an eerie feeling, slowly but swiftly crawling into you, making you feel uneasy and uncomfortable. Don't forget to watch it with the lights off late at night. And watch it in 5.1 DTS if you can. The scenes themselves are not disturbing or gory, but the way it was shot, was brilliant. It will give you goosebumps throughout the climax of the movie.

It's not for young children though, because the movie is also about lesbianism. But the direction, cinematography, music score, pacing, editing and acting are top notch. A must watch movie.

I believe it also won several foreign movie awards.

I saw Bichumoo, the story it self is more love story and revenge. Alot of fighting scene, which is I kinda fast forward

acting wise, alright, average. Story wise quite good.
    Spring Summer Autumn Winter.
    Pair ducks nest fly together.
Clemencies. Summer life, feather winter white.
Green meadow in spring, before the autumn bite.
    Watching the red gown.
    And none else, alone.

I'm just talking about the intensity during the court scene and the fact that these two are the most well-known military court related movies that most of us know.

The general public (Hollywood movie fans) does consider these two movies "A Few Good Men" and "Rules of Engagement" (not as popular and as great as the previous one) as great military/court movies. I'm just using them as examples because most of us know them. But in terms of intensity, hardly any other Hollywood military court movies can surpass Jack Nicholson's performance in "A Few Good Men"

Now let's get back to main topic !

hmmm... Failan is really focused on Choi Min Sik's acting. He is the greatest actor that I have ever encoutred. His stunning acting is showing in "Chui Hwa Sun"

Failan is good.. I enjoyed it. However.. if you are Chinese from Mainland China.. may get little offended. Since it is about chinese girl trying to settle with Korean bum by fake marriage in Korea to make money.
