You have some Kurosawas on your list. I would also add on these two Kurosawas: Yojimbo and Rashomon.

I would also add Ringu. It is also a good Japanese horror movie.(better than the US remake IMO)

Saving My Hubby was absolutely hilarious.

    Just Do It (Korean)
    Welcome Back Mr McDonald (Japanese)

There's a new Thai martial arts movie that's supposed to be really awesome. It's about Kick Boxing competition in Thailand. Many reviewers said this movie is one of the best that ever came out of Asia in terms of martial arts.

The movie is called ONG BAK

Indonesian movies tend to be really bad and focus on cheap, ridiculious slap-stick comedies, low budget martial arts movies and sex explotation movies. For the last 10 years the movie industry in Indonesia has been hit like mega-tons bombs by Hollywood. Recently, however there have some new rejuvenation in the movie industry. New directors, some educated in the West, have gone home trying to visualize their ideas and styles to the ever-weakening, dying movie industry.

There has not been any good movies, nowhere as excellent as even the still puny Thai movie industry, and it's still at least dedace away to play catch up with the excellent Korean movies or the prominent HK movie industry.

Have been looking for this particular Japanese movie that I watched a couple of years back. A bit difficult as I don't remember the movie title. Hoping if someone here can help...

    the story:
Mother and daughter are on a bus trip when an accident happens. Mother dies. Daughter lives. However when daughter wakes from her coma, it's really the mother's spirit/soul. Thus, daughter on the outside, mother on the inside. And how the husband/dad struggles with his feelings for his wife whom he loves yet he can't bring himself to treat her as his wife because it is his daughter whom he sees. It's a heart-rending story that touches upon issues of incest, what is acceptable, what is not, etc.

Any ideas as to the title?

Cool lots of movies I heard about but never dare to watch them because I don't know the languages so dont' want to rent something and it is not something I expected... (very hard to watch if you expect action but get drama)

Kagemusha by Kurosawa, a vastly underrated movie IMHO.

i think eventually the daughter returned to the body but in actual,it was a lie the wife fabricated to her husband.....the last scene shows the female lead with a tear trickling down her cheek right??

not good with japanese names but the female lead is called Ryoko Hirosue n the name of the movie is called "mi1 mi4"(secret)

i am looking for this vcd but so far no luck
