Or so the PAP wants us to think, how can we be sure?
Just a few things about our legal system that so called 'world envies':
1: We have the ISA which allows the Gov to imprison anyone without trial, in secret.
2: We are the few nations that still have capital punishment.
3: We are one of the few nations and the only developed nation with caning.
4: Compare to other common law nations, we don't have a good samaritan law, and don't even compare us to Civil Law nations, which has duty to rescue.
5: We are the only devolved nation which has the power of legalization and administration done by the same group of people.
The sentence fits the crime? Criminals always get what they deserved with no leniency?
This is what PAP says, honestly saying, I have friends from here and there around world, the only one that envies system are from Mainland China and India.
Compare to HK and Tw justice systems, Sg one is a joke.
There are more, but these are some food for thought.
Sg law and order is the best in the world?
Yes, best in the 3rd world.

The government must have legitimate reason for doing so. Perhaps the case is too sensitive such as national security.

2: We are the few nations that still have capital punishment.
Capital punishment is a great great thing. It is a good warning to the criminals before they try to commit the crime. Those criminals deserve what they get.

3: We are one of the few nations and the only developed nation with caning.
It might be a good lesson to learn.

4: Compare to other common law nations, we don't have a good samaritan law, and don't even compare us to Civil Law nations, which has duty to rescue.
    I don't know about this.

5: We are the only devolved nation which has the power of legalization and administration done by the same group of people.
What is wrong with that? That same group might be very capable of getting everything right.

The sentence fits the crime? Criminals always get what they deserved with no leniency?
Is this not the case in Singapore? Can you tell me any criminal got caught and didn't receive the penalty they deserve?

If you compare the crime rate in Singapore to Taiwan and HongKong, which one is lower? Which country has the lowest rate of drug abuse? Which country is cleanest?

Son of Light, I have a personal question for you. Is there a large Teochew community in Singapore? Is there a Teochew entertainment, like live music, in Singapore? Thank you.

Yes, there is a large Teochew community in Sg, it's the 2ed largest Chinese community besides Hokkin over here. However, due to PAP's pro-Eng, ignore-Chinese and anti-dialect policies, there is 0 dialect entertainment of any kind in Sg

1: There is no legitimate reason for Sg gov having ISA, it's just to bully it's people. National security is just a lame excuse, not a valid reason.

2: Then we might as well use ancient torture style of capital punishment, like cutting pieces of meat one at a time from the criminal.

3: Does that justify a cruel and unusual punishment?

5: The basic of a good legal system is separation of power, if we have the same people doing both legalization and administration, then the legalization will just make law based on ease to rule instead of the interest of the people. This is the reason why all democracies practices separation of power. Btw, PAP absolutely sucks at both legalization and administration.

6: In that case, any criminal that got caught in any nations receive the penalty they deserve.

7: Crime rates and drug abuse rate are not good measurement of law and order. China during Mao's rule has an even lower rate of crime and law abuse then today's Sg, that hardly makes it an idea nation to live in. Any despot can have low crime rate by having unreasonable harsh rule and a police state system in place. Being a despotic police state does not equate to having good law and order. If Hk and Tw was run by a tyrant, they will also have very low crime rate and drug abuse.

8: While Sg's regular grassroots civil servants are the cleanest in Asia, the political leaders in Sg are the most corrupted, in fact, it's worse because in Sg, the corruption of national leaders is legal unlike in Hk and Tw whereby it's a crime. So unlike other nations whereby corruption need to take place under the table, in Sg it's done openly and no one can do anything about it.
