The reasons DFBB led LHC to get Ren Wo Xing out from prison because he was lonely, his martial arts were too good and wanted to find a competitor, or maybe out of fun. Previously YZ said DFBB wanted to see the world, but people didn't let him be in their world. So he might dress as a girl to wander around.

No no no, Xiang Wen Tian is supposed to be a lot older than LHC and he is actually the only sworn brother of LHC, he cant be DFBB in disguised can he? That theory is not logical at all, because DFBB died at the end, and XWT will be the leader of that sec. If XWT is DFBB then he cant be dead and become the leader of the sec at the same time can he?
Yeah I am interested to know who play him too...

They aren't filming at the order of the novel. I believe he only looked dirty when he was fighting at the temple trying to save the Huashan sect people. He was being hit and fell into the mud. During that part he looked dirty because he didn't bother to change as he was hurt by LPZ and YLS being together. He was actually dressed in expensive clothes after he met XWT.

Oh no! please don't let this suspicion come true... that would mean YZ will have to deviate from the novel (in a big way) at least not to make XWT as DFBB

From what I imagine when I read the novel, I think LHC's clothes aren't necessarily dirty (except when he gets beaten - from gamblers in Luoyang or when he fought with those 10 guys he blinded). But I think the materials for his clothes should be a bit coarse as compared to rich ones like LPZ which are silky or at least more expensive.

actually The Smiling Proud Wanderer 1984 (chow yun fa), state of divinity 1996 (TVB Jackie Liu),state divinity 2000(Richie Ren),legendary swordsman 2000 (TCS steve ma) ,laughing in the wind 2001 (Li Ya Peng)no one exactly the same with novel....even five versions also had difference

also Movies adaption from Xiao ao jiang hu...The Proud Youth (1978)  • The Swordsman (1991) • Swordsman II (1992) • The East is Red (1993) some parts different from novel...

in past interview, Jin Yong praised the CCTV's production of SOD/laughing in the wind 2001 (zhang ji zong) cast and efforts made by the crew, but was disappointed with the script because too many changes were made (he went on to describe a few scenes).
