Actually, with the trends these days, these producers will make whatevers they want whenevers they want (just count how many repeats of Yongzheng stories, Wu Zetian stories, Xiang Yu/Liu Bang stories have come out in the past 2 years).
Plus, isn't there already a Han Xue version in production somewhere? Or did that get put on hold?
Er...what exactly are these "traditional value" and "characteristics" that you refer to? Frankly, I don't really enjoy ZJZ productions. Lots of special effects and great cimetography, but his stories tend to run dry and lack soul. Of course, not that YZ's cheezy dialouge and rushed (often cheap looking) productions are any better.
And hey, if I'm going to spend time staring at a screen for 30 hours, it better be one smoking hot screen
