My lifelong ambition has always been to get a PhD. I am sort of on that track now but suffering from some lapses in self-confidence.

I didn't really think about another thing I'd like to do and that is to start a family. It is peripheral to my PhD dream, anyway.

Ideally, I'd like to do something with my degrees, lol

Perhaps, my ambitions are not so high haha

    What is yours?
    I like me.

Read all of JY's novels and remember every ELOC.

I wanted to be a college instructor but could not land a job. Being a math tutor is not bad either, at least I like what I do.

It is honestly a career choice you choose because you like it not for the money. It is like teachers, they work overtime staying after class to help students or grading papers and that doesn't count as overtime. You do it because you love the profession. I think I read on yahoo or google that it is one of the most stressful and underpaid jobs. But again, it is rewarding when you see your students accomplish goals.

As for the ppl not thinking tutoring is good enough, I guess it depends on how much they are making. I did tutoring for an agency and it really wasn't paying the bills. I just enjoyed working with the kids and when their grades improve, it made me very happy. But I think you mention you work on your own so it should be able to pay the bills. =)

Yes. I think you are right.

Well, I live a simple life so it's more than enough to pay bills as I always have surplus. I never worry about bills. I guess most people these days don't like simply life, so no luck for me. Perhaps I should try harder when I move to BC. Since you love tutoring so much, do you want tutoring part time on your own? You can easily make $30/hour or more on your free time or on the weekend. If you want, I can show you how to do it. It's easy and simple.

I think things happen when you least expect it to happen. My coworker was just telling me how he met his wife. He just went to a coffee shop and was standing in line. They met at a coffee shop =) So never know.
