Sorry. It was my turn to update.

Chapter 25: Evil People, Dark Scheme

While the youngsters were busily planning for their destinations, another plan was being conceived in a large manor. After scolding and punishing his failed henchmen, Chen Zheng Ren put away his thick cane and gathered them around him for further instructions.

“Just in case that Fu Ba Kong Qi does not come back with Princess Zhao Ning after some certain idiotic individuals have failed”, “and he glared his fiery eyes at his men again, who quickly knelt down in unison and kept their foreheads on the floor, “… we must find another way to threaten the government. The Song government may seem corrupt and weak, but its foundation still remains with the core kept steady by a few old ministers that has served for two or more reigns. For the Mongols to successfully conquer the Central Plains, these elderly ministers must be eliminated.”

Then one of the kneeling men interrupted, “But Master, due to the festivities of the Empress Dowager’s birthday, all ministers will summoned and kept in the Imperial Palace for ten days to come. And straight afterwards is the Emperor’s birthday of which the festivities lasted for more than three months in the previous years. Then it will be the Empress’s. Who knows how long they will be in there for? The security of Imperial Palace is dense and heavy, and the guest house which is only courtyards away from the Emperor’s chambers is flooded with Imperial guard with outstanding abilities. How can we attempt to assassinate the ministers successfully without getting through the guards?”

Chen Zheng Ren’s eyes fueled with anger and he slapped the man so hard that the man lost his balance and crashed into a wooden table, breaking it. “You fool, how can you uplift the opposition and demean yourself, and thus affect the confidence of our side. Are you saying that I am inferior to the guards of the Imperial Palace?”

The man quickly got back on his knees and exclaimed lowly, “Sorry Master, it is my fault. You are better than all of the guards put together and we will succeed in this plan!”

“Hypocritical fool!” muttered Chen Zheng Ren. He had hated nothing more than people who bootlicked him and people who underestimate him. In normal situations, this man would never live to see the sunlight again but this plan was urgent, so he temporarily ignored this man, who he had plans for later on.

Straightening his face again, he resumed his seriousness and asked his men, “Tell me, who are the most threatening to the Mongolian Army?”

The men quickly replied, “The Song generals and army of course.”

Chen Zheng Ren nodded in satisfaction and asked, “And who do the generals obey?”
    “The ministers of course.”

“And who do the ministers obey?”

    “The Emperor of course.

And finally, he asked, “And whom does the Emperor obey?”

There was a quick silence, then a mixture of answers consisting of “The Empress Dowager” and “ the ministers”.

Chen Zheng Ren shook his head at the confused men and replied, “His weaknesses.” And just when he was about to elaborate on his plan, the door burst open and seven men rushed in.

“Father!” cried Chen Sheng Tian painfully as he ran to his father and started retelling what had happened with constant stammers and stuttering. Fu Ba Kong Qi just stood silently in the corner, immersed in his own thoughts.

Chen Zheng Ren sat his son on a chair and exclaimed with a sigh, “Just as I had predicted, you would fail! But it doesn’t matter, I have another plan up my sleeve.” And he signaled to his attendant who immediately slipped out of the room.

Turning to his men again, he continued, “The Emperor is but an old fool (apologies to the Emperor being referred to) who indulges in nothing else but wine and women. And those weaknesses will be our main targets in our plan to root up these old ministers.” Then calling in a louder voice, he said, “Let her enter!” The doors opened and a beautiful young woman stepped in.

She was about twenty years old, with a slim and slender body. Her eyes were slightly tilted into vixen-like eyes and her lips were a healthy rosy pink, subtly gaining your focus. The men seemed surprised at her presence. What use would she be to their plan? But Chen Sheng Tian immediately forgot his pain at the sight of her. Only two men were unaffected by her arrival.

Chen Zheng Ren introduced, “I am sure you have all heard of the Mongolian professional mercenary, Qing Ru Yan (Light as a Swallow). With the help and honour of the Fourteenth Prince, we have recruited her as our main basis of this plan. As I had said before, the Emperor’s weaknesses are wine and women. We can’t do anything about the wine, but we can about the women. The Empress Dowager dislikes the newly designated Empress and many conflicts have occurred due to this, with one having the Emperor lose his temper at her. She feels her position is unstable and has planned to elect alternate young women to appease the Emperor instead of the Empress.”

Directing his hand at Qing Ru Yan, “She will be passed off as the youngest daughter of Minister Yi, who is currently enjoying himself with the rewards from us; and entered into the election. With her beauty, she will be surely elected as a consort. Once she gets control of the Emperor, we can eradicate those old ministers with any risks or danger.”

On hearing that his father was about to give this mysterious and alluring beauty to the ugly and old Emperor (sorry again), Chen Sheng Tian jumped out of his chair and protested, “Why waste such a beauty on that old fool, Father?” and turning to Qing Ru Yan with a perverted smile, he continued, “She will be better off with me!”

Qing Ru Yan narrowed her eyes and shot out a whip from her sleeve. Chen Sheng Tian ducked at the weapon but she was faster and emitted another whip, heading straight between his legs.

“Ru Yan. Stop!” called Fu Ba Kong Qi and she obediently retracted the whip, but a hand had grasped it already, and pulled it tight towards him instead.

Chen Zheng Ren had acted the same time as Fu Ba Kong Qi had spoken and had grabbed hold of the whip before it could hit his son anywhere. Chen Sheng Tian flopped back on his chair in fright as his forehead became decorated with beads of sweat.

Chen Zheng Ren said apologetically, “Sorry, My son has disgraced himself terribly, but that is no reason for you to rid my bloodline.” Qing Ru Yan pulled the whip quickly again and it slid out of Chen Zheng Ren’s palm, leaving a red cut behind.

Chen Zheng Ren looked first at his bloody hand, then at the challenging eyes of Qing Ru Yan, and in a fit of anger, swept a lamp off a nearby table and whilst she was defending it, he struck his palms at her and she flew backwards towards the closed doors and would have gone straight had not a strong arm reached out to block her path and stopped her backward motion with a palm of his hand rested on her back.

“Chen Zheng Ren,” came the voice, “I haven’t yet questioned you for not asking my opinion before you engage my disciple in your plans, and now you want to kill her without my permission?” It was Fu Ba Kong Qi. “You think the life of us Mongolians are that worthless to be in your hands?”

Seeing that Qing Ru Yan was under the protection of Fu Ba Kong Qi, he dared not try and offend the Mongolian Khan’s close bodyguard as well as half the Prince’s mentor. But still in an arrogant tone, he exclaimed, “I did not mean to offend your race but until the Prince gets here, I am STILL the person in charge here. With you being near the Khan for so long, I am sure that you know it is an offense to rebut a superior!”

Fu Ba Kong Qi said nothing and pushed Qing Ru Yan to the side, and emerged with triple twirl closely followed by a thrush of both his palms. Chen Zheng Ren slid low quickly to avoid the blow while he hooked his opponent’s foot forwards, causing him to slid forwards out of balance. But Fu Ba Kong Qi reacted quickly and rotated his foot out of the hook and pushing hard on the ground, he swung backwards and swiped his other leg at Chen Zheng Ren, who had leant backwards just in time to avoid the powerful swipe.

Fu Ba Kong Qi lost no time in forwarding another stance, the exact same one he had started off with. Chen Zheng Ren recognized the move and as fast as he could, he concentrated all of his energy into his outstretched palms and met them upon sudden impact.

The audience looked at the blow in a fascinated manner, pupils enlarged and muscles being to tense. One was a mighty Mongolian warrior experienced in many battles, and the other, a powerful martial-arts expert of the Central Plains who had combated all kinds of people. Both had their strengths and weaknesses, but who would win eventually? This would be decided by whoever first slides out of the link, the one who would be named inferior to the other for the rest of his life.

The two men locked in position were busily competing their inner strength when suddenly a shadow appeared on the paper windows. It was projected from the other side of the doors. It was the shadow of a man, who was shortly joined by another.

A loud and clear voice called out, ‘What on earth do you think you are doing, causing internal conflicts within our allies? Stop it immediately!” The doors were pushed open and a man dressed in Mongolian costume stood at the door, and next to him, was one of the guard who had stood by the gates of the manor.

Chen Zheng Ren and Fu Ba Kong Qi looked at each other and without a word, they knew exactly what the other meant and slowly absorbed their energy back into their meridian. Immediately, they bowed to the new arrival and greeted, Welcome, my lord!”

The man nodded and stepped into the room with steady steps. Chen Zheng Ren turned to Fu Ba Kong Qi and exclaimed, “I have long heard of the powerful stance, Rising Dragon Refusing Defeat, from the Mighty Dragon Arrogant Phoenix Palms. But my Mountain Shattering Palms is not weak either. Too bad I did not have the chance to see the corresponding stance Falling Phoenix Forever Confident from one of your acquaintances. With those palms stances coming from both of you, I am sure that there will be a brilliant duel!”

Fu Ba Kong Qi returned to his trance again, muttered agreement in a low voice, “Falling Phoenix Forever Confident, yes it is a pity that the dragon is without his phoenix!” But no one else had heard it.

Chen Zheng Ren then the other Mongolian man politely, “General Tie Yu, what news do you have for us? And where is the Prince, my household would gladly honour his arrival?”

The general announced, “The Prince has been engaged in other matters. He will be very late and may even not come at all. His orders are for the plan to go ahead with BOTH Imperial Guard Kong Qi AND Hero Chen, in charge of the operation.”

After a while, the general left and the men moved to their rooms fro the night. As Fu Ba Kong Qi and Qing Ru Yan walked along the courtyard, he asked her, “Ru Yan, are you sure you want to go ahead with this plan?”

She smiled and replied, “Of course, Mentor. Once I accomplish this task, I will be rewarded lots of money and my freedom from the court. And then, I will be free to roam the lands, searching for Big Bucket Head. He said his mother was taking him to the Central Plains, and told me to look for him then. I couldn’t go before because I belonged to the court and even Mentor you couldn’t find him. But after this, I will be able to. As long as I can find him again, I will do anything!”

Fu Ba Kong Qi stared at her for a moment, then asked sternly, “What if I say I have found him already?” There was a brief silence afterwards.

“Mentor, are you sure? You are not lying to me, are you?” she cried concernedly, grabbing hold of her mentor’s sleeve.

Fu Ba Kong Qi took a deep breath and looking in the distance, he replied, “I am not sure, but when I am, I will tell you.”

    Talking Bravo!

Hi hi! I just finished all 25 chapters in one sitting! The story is marvelous. Why isn't anyone updating this story??? Come WK, Goofy, and Charby! Don't let a good story like this sit and collect dust! So far, I can't decide who my favorite couple is. Ting Feng and Hong Ye are romantic, but Xiu Lan and that gentleman scholar are just hilarious and extremely cute together. Hehehe. I can already tell that the scholar is not who he appears to be... He's the mysterious guy with the great kung fu who rescues Xiu Lan constantly but pretends to be a weak moron, right? RIGHT??? That Princess Zhao Ning seems a bit weak and boring, but the village boy who is infatuated with her will no doubt turn into an interesting character. Who is going to be Chen Gu Qing's love interest? So far, he still has no love match. So what's the story behind his scarred face? Update, girls! Don't be lazy! I'll be waiting anxiously for the next chapter.

    Angry

I am super busy now. Ask someone else. Lots of practical exams with written ones to follow. And lots of assignment essays as well. I don't think we are going to get very far until the end of the year.

    Meanwhile, read this:

Chapter 26: All Rivers Lead to the Sea

There was no girl in the cave! Zhao Ning was gone! Lin Xiu Lan checked carefully all over the cave, even behind rocks and under them. She even went out to the nearby stream catch any sight of her, which seemed to be quite a clumsy task in the larger and longer clothes she was wearing, no matter how tight she wrapped it around her. The scholar followed her silently, helping her up each time she slipped on the long clothes, even though each time she flung aside his hand.

After a whole two hours of searching, Lin Xiu Lan finally gave up and sat down on a fallen log, looking grumpily at the scholar who had tried to sit next to her, but now had moved to a large rock several feet away.

“Where on earth did they go?” she said out aloud, and calling to the scholar, “Are you sure you saw her? Or are you just trying to play games with me?”

The scholar smiled and answered, “I wouldn’t lie to you! I did see her in those caves! A young man was with her too! She was dressed in blue and he was a shabbily dressed lad.”

Lin Xiu Lan looked suspiciously at him as she edged closer, “Do you swear?”

“Swear what?” the scholar answered surprised.

“Swear that you really saw them and that you aren’t wasting my time.” She added.

“Fine! Fine!” the scholar replied, raising his hands as if he was surrendering, “I swear that I really saw the two in the caves and did not lie to Miss Lin!”

“Or else? You have to make a vicious consequence or I will never believe you!” she exclaimed, “Hmmm… I know! You have to swear you aren’t lying or your future wife would be as ugly as a toad, have freckles all over her face and be as fat as a pig!”

The scholar nearly burst our laughing for not many people liked to curse themselves that badly. “I swear that …” and he continued the rest of the sentence according to her demands while Lin Xiu Lan walked around, pondering where the two were.

“You know,” the scholar cried, “There was a pile of burnt ashes in that cave. Someone must have stayed there last night.”

“Hmmmm. They might have been in the cave, and then maybe they have been captured. But by who?” Ideas kept coming into her head. “Maybe it is that pervert who captured them!” she called out aloud.

But to herself, she said, “It is kind of my fault that Kao Xiao Feng got involved. But Zhao Ning is what they came for. I shouldn’t need to save her. She has so many guards that will rescue her. But what if they are too late? And that pervert…. I better go and find her and Kao Xiao Feng! Oh why am I so great?”

She turned to the scholar who was looked admirably at her all this time and announced, “I am going to Chen Zheng Ren’s house right away to save them! You can come along if you like, but I won’t protect you of bandits carry you off!” and without waiting for him to reply, she walked off.

After several minutes, she turned around, expecting to see someone even though no more footsteps behind her could be heard. There were trees, rocks and even birds, but no scholar.

“Where is that silly scholar?” she asked herself. And was quite surprised at herself for caring. Maybe she just got used to it. After all, he had been following her ever since they first met. His absence seemed so unusual. Maybe her perception of him had already changed. She didn’t know herself.

“Stupid scholar!” she murmured, “Fine, if you aren’t following me, then I am not waiting for you!” and with the wind blowing up her large clothes, she waddled along the path.

Suddenly, the loud sound of horses’ hooves could be heard behind her. A nasty thought came into her head. “I am not that stupid to make myself walk all the way to Chen Zheng Ren’s house! I’ll just steal that horse!” and swiftly turning around, she lay on the ground, clutching her ankle tightly.

“Once that stupid rider sees I am injured, eh will offer me his mount. Then…’ she giggled at her own intelligence, and began to moan painfully.

“Miss Lin, are you alright?” came concerned voice. Lin Xiu Lan jumped as it was the scholar’s voice, and quickly blamed herself fro such a big reaction.

And sure he was there with two horses, jumping of one of the horses, the only one with a rider. He knelt by her side and as she asked abruptly, “Why are you here?”

“I just bought two horses off a traveler for easier travel. What happened to you? Are you hurt? You must have sprained your ankle! Let me have a look!” and he reached and touched her foot.

Lin Xiu Lan swiftly retracted her foot at his touch and felt herself going red in the face. The scholar seemed to notice his mistake and took away his hand, finding nothing to say.

Suddenly, Lin Xiu Lan shot out an arm and pushed him to the ground. Quickly as a young antelope, she leapt up onto a horse and exclaimed, “I didn’t accept this horse from you! I stole it!” and gathering its reins, she galloped it to the top of the slope.

The scholar smiled and quickly getting up on his horse, he caught up to where she was waiting and the two galloped off together.

While a pair of swallows were swiftly flying towards the south, an awkward and embarrassed pair were heading towards the same direction.

Even though the sun was high in the air, its life-giving rays failed to warm up the small cave, which became more and more cold the longer Gao Xiao Feng sat in it. Zhao Ning had not regained consciousness yet and afraid that she might catch a cold, he took off his outer coat and carefully wrapped it around her. Like picking up an injured rabbit, he lifted her into his arms so carefully that he didn’t disturb her sleep, and ran out of the cave into a warmer spot.

But it seemed that the weather was against him that day. The moment he exited the cave, a strong gust of wind blew and a thin layer of clouds shield the sun. And carrying Zhao Ning, he quickly walked away from the wind, hoping that it wouldn’t follow them.

Zhao Ning had awoken during the walk and screamed loudly in fear and shock when she found herself being carried by a man, and the man was not her Mister Lin, but a dirty young man with only his underclothes on.

“Put me down! Put me down! Who are you? Get away from me! Help! Help!” she screamed.

“Fine! Fine!” he replied, putting her down gently as she was kicking madly in the air.

Zhao Ning cowered away in fright and quickly checked whether her clothes were still intact. To her surprise, she found herself wrapped in a dirty thin piece of male clothing, with quite several holes in it and shed it quickly in disgust.

“You! You…” she cried, pointing at the man as he did something much more severe to her than carry her. Only then, did she look directly at the man and vaguely realized that it was a man she had seen in the blurry night she just had. Softening her tone, she said, “You are the man whose house I stayed in last night who rescued me from that pervert! What happened? Where is Mister Lin?”

Kao Xiao Feng sat her down on the ground and moving a few metres away to calm her down, she shouted the whole story out.

Zhao Ning seemed disappointed and worried at the disappearance of Lin Xiu Lan, and felt sorry for Kao Xiao Feng whose house had been burnt.

“Don’t worry!” she assured, “When I get back to Royal Father, I will tell him to rebuild a much better house than the one you have before! And perhaps even more! But now …. By the way, where were you trying to carry me to?”

Kao Xiao Feng stepped closer now that Zhao Ning understood he wasn’t to harm her, and simply replied, “Mother said all bird fly to the south as it is warmer. It was cold in the caves so I though the south must be warmer. So I carried you to the south!” And he gave her a big silly smile. But he pondered over what “Royal Father’ meant.

Zhao Ning returned a smile at his innocence but before they couldn’t further their friendship, something furry dropped onto her head and frightened the life out of her.

She screamed and shouted and struggled to pull the thing off her, but the creature seemed twice as stressed as she was and fought to cling onto her hair.

Meanwhile, three youths were not far from there when they heard a high-pitched female voice scream loudly for help. The only female amongst them quickly ran to help and the two man held their weapons and chased after her.

They traced the screams and found a young woman in blue shoes. A man with his back to them, was weighed down on top of her, using all of his strength to do that and his hands to pull something off her, calling loudly, “I’ll get that off you!” And it could be well be her dress that he was wrestling off.

“You pervert!” called the three in unison and attacked the man together. Kao Xiao Feng jumped at the voices of other people and turned around only to be punched in the eye by a young man. His normal reflex was to retaliate and he shoved out both fists at his attacker. But two more attackers joined him in a blur and not even seeing who it was attacking him, Kao Xiao Feng put his life in the line to fend them off. After all, they could be there to harm Zhao Ning.

But Zhao Ning was still screaming. First there was the furry thing in her hair and then there were three strangers attacker her friend. Could they be with eth pervert from last night? “Who are you people? Stop! Help!” She couldn’t help calling for assistance as the thing on her head seemed to think that her long hair would increase in length if pulled harder.

The only female in the trio quickly left the fight and rushed to her aid. Reaching her hand into the luggage tied her to arm; she emerged with a cold bun and quickly threw it to the left of Zhao Ning.

A screeching could be heard and a thin furry white monkey leapt away to catch the bun. Zhao Ning with her messed up hair breathed a sigh of relief as the monkey jumped back into a tree, and not her hair.

After making sure Zhao Ning was alright, the young girl called, “Stop it you two! It’s a misunderstanding!” And the fight stopped, just as a handsome man twisted Kao Xiao Feng’s arms behind him in black while another was fighting his wild kicks.

The monkey situation was explained as apologies were made. The young girl offered her own comb and some water for Zhao Ning to tidy herself up while the man exchanged names as the young girl handed out cold buns from her luggage.

The two young men were no other than Chen Gu Xing and Miao Ting Feng, and the help young girl was the one and only Lin Hong Ye. Zhao Ning managed to straighten her long hair out again but only when she twisted her hair to make a plaited bun, did she realize that the monkey had made off with her sapphire hairpin.

Kao Xiao Feng heard that and reaching into his belt, he brought out a golden hairpin and said, “I am returning this to you!”

Zhao Ning reached out and took it in curiosity, then said immediately, “This is not my hairpin. It is too simple. Where did you get it? Why would you say it is mine?” And she held it back out to him.

Just as Kao Xiao Feng was about to take it back, Chen Gu Xing snatched it away. It was a golden hairpin with no engravings and no jewels. Zhao Ning was right. It was a simple hairpin. But yet, Chen Gu Xing had a lot of interest in it. He even held it out for his friends to see.

“Look at this? Is this Sworn Sister’s” he exclaimed. They had been looking Lin Xiu Lan after finding her absence this time to be much longer than usual. An din unison, they asked Kao Xiao Feng, where did you get this?”

With suddenly every person around him asking him the same question, Kao Xiao Feng could not help but be shocked. Stuttering, he replied, “Some villains burned down my house yesterday. Miss Zhao fainted and when I picked her, I found this hairpin on the ground. She was the only girl around so I thought it must have been hers.”

Zhao Ning suddenly looked up with a start. “Could ... could it be Mister Lin’s?” and she quickly took it back from Chen Gu Xing. She held it to her nose and inhaled. It smelled of hair oil and fragrance. Her heart saddened as it proved her Mister Lin had another woman.

“Who is Mister Lin?” asked Miao Ting Feng and Kao Xiao Feng quickly told who it is. Within five sentences, the three immediately knew that Mister Lin was a disguised Lin Xiu Lan.

The three talked quietly amongst themselves after Kao Xiao Feng finished the story on how he had met Lin Xiu Lan.

“So Sworn Sister has disappeared! Who is the mystery man? And where on earth is that scholar?” exclaimed Miao Ting Feng in a whisper.

“You know her, probably she left him hanging somewhere off a tree because she found him too annoying. I feel sorry for him for trying to pursue her! Hope he succeeds!” answered Lin Hong Ye with a sigh.

“Well, where did she go? Could she have been captured by Chen Zheng Ren’s men?” an unspeakable hatred clouded Chen Gu Xing’s words and he said the name.

After a short discussion, the three decided a trip to Chen Zheng Ren’s house was necessary and seeing that both Kao Xiao Feng and Zhao Ning were sincerely concerned about their Sworn Sister’s welfare, they informed that they knew each other and of her possible whereabouts. The two immediately insisted on following. But the three had kept her true identity a secret. Lin Xiu Lan had gotten into this mess alone, and she was going to get out of it alone! Well, at least before she learnt her lesson!

In the meantime, I'll try to put more marten and Taipan scenes in for Chen Gu Xing.

    Talking Yay!

You guys updated! I wasn't expecting such a speedy update. That's why I was so ecstatic when I saw the new chapter. I think Xiu Lan and the scholar are now my favorite couple. Your character development of Xiu Lan is simply ingenious. In fact, you have truly brought this character to life for me. I hope you give more life to the scholar also. After all, it takes a special man to complement Xiu Lan's feisty nature. Also, please write more about my second favorite couple, Hong Ye and Ting Feng. Please update soon! I'll be waiting anxiously!

    Default Not Dead yet....

Haha...Currently a bit swamped with school assignments but I'd probably get it all done before Thanksgiving break. About Chapter 27, I just need to read it over and add a few things and finish writing it as well. So Goofy or Charbydis, you can use this time to brainstorm or re-evaulate about our story.

Sorry readers for the delay, but I've got a good excuse. It's beyond my control...well...hehehe...u know!
I just love how you Captivate My Mind

Self reminder - Update blog more often and continue editing/writing for TOV fanfic.

I have some questions on Chapter 8: Intruders written by Suet Seung.

    1. Who shaved off the 3 intruders' eyebrows? I initially thought it was Lin Hong Ye, but it doesn't seem so anymore after I keep on reading. She would not have blamed her the breaking of her bracelet on Miao Ting Feng if it was the people she herself angered who broke the bracelet, and the 3 intruders never really said she did it either.

    2. Why did Miao Ting Feng use a wooden sword as a weapon? It's understandable if he can prevent his sword from being broken easily by other metal weapon. But this is not the case, since one chop from Lao Dai's sabre, his wooden sword is broken into half. He absolutely cannot use this weapon for defense purposes (like blocking other people's weapon). Why didn't he use a real metal sword?

Talking Update! Update! Update, ohhhhhh please!

At least kidd is only up to chapter 8 and still has a ways to go. I read all of your chapters in one sitting and now I am here all lonely and in despair because no one would update Tales of Vengeance! Where is that WK??? She promised me to update about three weeks ago! I may have to get on a plane and hunt the trio of authors down. Nobody writes such a good story and then stops updating and gets away with it! Heheh...

    I'm now on chapter 9.

Actually, I'm glad that I only reach chapter 9. I don't need to wait for ages for updates because I have many more chapters to go.

One of the reasons I take so long to start on Tales of Vengence is because I usually only read completed fanfics. But from the comment I read in this thread, the story seems really interesting. That's why I started reading before the story complete.

Hope u guys have updated the story some more by the time I reach chapter 26.

Another question. This time on Chapter 3: Red Flowers on White Snow written by Goofy.

Is the small figure who throws watermelons at the group chasers, Lin Xiu Lan?
