The great thing about fiction like this with open ends is that each reader gets to create his own fantasy background and nobody gets to prove him wrong.

So if you want to imagine that Dugu never met XZ and DY, its possible.

If you want to imagine that Dugu defeated both of them easily, its also possible.

If you want to imagine that the 'righteous man' which Dugu accidently injured as stated in his epitaph was either DY or XZ its also possible.

If you want to think Dugu was no up to XZ and DY's standard its also possible.

If you want to think Dugu was a female its also possible.

I think it would end up being a matching of internal strength

I don't think that matching internal strength with the great Sweeper Monk would be too smart. He would either loss, or they could end up like OYF and H7G. I think DGKB will use his techniques to try to over whelm Sweeper Monk.

heh... he doesn't really use any stances so DG9J would be useless

heavysword... it's using force... so internal energy fight

I think that DGKB will try to use techniques because he studied sword for such a long time and finally developed the bare hand over comes sword level. I think matching internal strength would be one of Sweeper Monk's specialty.

I thought it was sword overcome hand (7th stance)

No, I think it was hand overcome sword, which means that the hands are better I guess. Who would need to train for overcoming hands with a sword. The person with the sword obviously has the advantage compare to bare hands.

Not hand overcoming sword. No sword overcoming sword; pure sword chii, in other words. He would be using chii in the way that he would normally be infusing a sword with it, except he had no sword.

And regarding 'sword overcoming hand', Yang Guo was referring to the stance in DG9J, 'Palm-Breaking Stance,' which was supposed to be able to defeat all the palm-techniques in the world, such as Iron Sand Divine Palm (Tie Sha Shen Zhang). And palm isn't necessarily inferior to sword. Many top-level fighters use pure palm techniques to great effect, a la Yang Guo's 'Sad Palms' and Guo Jing's "Xiang Long 18 Zhang,' Zhang San Feng's 'Tai Ji Chuan,' etc.

It will take everyone, excluding DGQB, HS and Founder of XYS from every book there is together to defeat him.
    Sorry, but what is XYS?

A very simple answer. All it takes is for Jin Yong to revise DGSD again. Just add another two or three paragraphs to make someone beat the living hell out of the Sweeper Monk or add some words to describe his weaknesses.

I wonder if he would ever do such a thing ? It will be a big controversy since most of us believe the Sweeper Monk is the ultimate fighter in all JY's top best fighters.

no offence to dugu but i think people overate him so much as if no one can come close to him, sif he can beat duan yu and xu xhu in his teens and we don't even no if he has ever come across them, plus why would duan yu fight when his got a whole king dom to look after.

You have to back up your claims. You're just saying it's overrated, but you didn't say how and why that's true.

From all the descriptions of DGQB, he is shown to be extremely powerful. Maybe not undefeatable by anyone, but nevertheless extremely powerful.

Having a title Seeking-A-Loss isn't a small thing, you don't live long if you can't back up a claim like that. Even if you lived in a secluded valle, people would still find you and challenge you (and usually only strong and determined people would be able to find you).

No one is over rating DGKB. I believe that he will get a beating challanging DY and XZ during his teenage years. But I will not be suprise if he surpassed them during his adult-hood.
