What does it take to defeat the Nameless Sweeper Monk?

I was watching Tian Long Ba Bu 96 today and the sweeper monk mentioned that the only one to have ever master all 72 techniques was DaMo himself. Does this mean that he himself does not know all 72 techniques?

Maybe he was too modest, because if he say that he do himself, it will be like amitting that he is kind and enlightened, which is true.

Not necessarily. In Tian Long Ba Bu 1982, MuRong Buo was stronger than the sweeper monk, which is some sick made-up B.S. from TVB.

Actually in DGSD 1982, MuRong Buo was the king of the hill. He fought Xiao Feng, Duan Yu, Xu Zhu AND Wang Yu Yan, Ah Zi, and Zhong Lin (1 to 6), and managed to push ALL of them into a "Death Tomb." Also later, Xiao Yuan Shan, Duan Yu, and Xu Zhu combined could not equal MuRong Buo's strength.

It's nice to know that somebody agrees with me. A lot of people like the DGSD'82 version better than DGSD'97 for some reason. I don't think that the old version can even be compared to the newer one. I enjoy the '97 one a lot more, but it got one of the most exaggerated martial arts that I've seen though. Blasting 18 dragons out to take out an army is just not really human.

What I mean was everyone except the 3(HS, DGQB FoXYS) against The Sweeping Monk.
I said the 4 are equal in power.
It will take everyone else in everybook to defeat anyone 1 of the 4.
Note: The one who wrote XKX Martial Art may be the 5th, but some say he's is actucally HYS so...

Maybe DGKB alone could take him head on. I just think that the nickname "Demon Swordman" is pretty cool. And the way he is lonely because he never had a loss makes him seem mysteriously powerful. And do anyone know was he born yet during DGSD?

I think Yang Guo had estimated him to have lived about 70 years before he found the cave. I can't remember exactly, Lanny translated that part of RoCH. So, he was probably around a bit after DGSD ended, which was about the same as Huang Sheung I guess.

So he is born right after DGSD ended? I don't see why he is so desperate for a defeat since DY and XZ is probably still alive, so he should at least get a pretty good beat up if he where to fight them at his teenage years.

Except they don't fight for sport, but yes that's a good point.
