    Default TVB Veteran Actors/Actresses

Anyone else think they are the best thing in TVB these days. People like Lau Dan, Hui Siu Hong, Kwok Fung, Chun Pui etc. etc. have been working in TVB for years but don't ever seem to get the credit that young, up & comin' actors get but they've remained the most important in the history of the channel.

Let's hope they get rewarded more in the future!!

Well, personally i like Lau Dan and Chun Pei. Though not rewarded, but their acting is recognized by all. For Lau Dan is in Kindered Spirit and Chun Pei in Family Man.

I like veteran actors like Lau Dan and Chun Pui too. There are some others whose names I don't know, but I acknowledge and appreciate the fact that they contribute greatly to the success of TV series.

My most favorite veteran actor was Wong Wai. He played villain roles really well. Bau Fong was my other favorite actor. Unfortunately, both of them retired from acting. The contribution by TVB's talented pool of veteran supporting actors & actresses plays a critical role in TVB's enduring success.

Yes, Bau Fong passed away already a few years back.

My favorites are Kwan Hoi San, Bau Fong, Tam Ping Mun, Lee Heung Kam, Lo Lan, Nam Hung, Cheung Ying Choi (he still acts with TVB) and Paul Chun.

Yes, Tze Yin is a veteran actor. Same here, I don't really like to see him act too but he is very popular in the 50s, 60s, & 70s.

Bau Fong died? How did he die? That's unfortunate, because he was a great actor.

Could you tell me what roles they played? I don't seem to know these names besides Bau Fong and Paul Chun.

Does anyone know the first actor I attached? He was in many tv series. Never knew what his name is.

The first picture is Kwan Hoi San, who used to be in lots of old TVB series as well as movies like Hard Boiled (as Tony Leung's triad boss).

Second picture i don't know but the 3rd picture is a good actor named Wan Yeung Ming. He played the character 'Miu Yan Fung' in 'The Flying Fox of the Snowy Mountain'.

Actors you just mentioned & their roles in series:

Tam Ping Mun - can't really remember any of his series except for Return Of The Condor Heroes '83 as one of the mercenaries (the guys at Mongolian Camp to assasinate Guo Jing) who's looking for precious objects!

Leung Heung Kam - now acts in ATV such as 'Love In A Miracle' as Ma Jing Tao mother-in-law. Also starred in recent Anita Yuen ATV series (lawyer one) as her grandmother.

Lo Lan - one of the greatest actresses ever! Starred as 'Mo Po' in Summer Heat as well as numerous classic TVB series like Police Cadets & ROCH. Too many to remember!!

Cheung Ying Choi - old guy that worked for Bobby Au Yeung in 'Hidden Treasures' and went to prison for fraud. Also starred as the older 'Michael Tong' in Flora Chan series Hard Fate.

The rest i'm not too sure of

I agree that supporting actors should be more respected and recognized for their work. My favorites are:

    Paul Chun
Bao Fong ( I had no idea he passed away, I thought he only had a stroke)
    Lo Lok Lam
    Leung Ka Yan
    Kenneth Tsang
Wong Wun Choi ( Au Yeung Hak in LOCH 83 and Fa Mun Lau in Lok Siu Fung 79)
    Lo Lan
Yeung Chak Lam (Au Yeung Fung in LOCH 83)

Does anyone remember that actor who played Jackie Lui father in Whose the Winner I? He also played Michelle Yip's father in Network Love Story. I don't know his name...he's a veteran actor too...he's been with TVB and ATV.

lol I like this actor, the one on the far right. He's in Burning Flame I, his character trained Louis, Wong Hei an all that. I don't see him in series anymore though.

Here is Bao Fong as Cheung Sam Fung (one in gray)

And here's a picture of the actor you were asking about...I don't know his name either but he sure can be evil when he plays evil roles and good when he's in good roles. Yes...I think he's a good actor too...This is from Duke of Mt. Deer 1998
