Default Is Parkour the modern version of Qinggong (Lightness Kungfu)?

Saw article and video where people discussed whether if parkour is the modern version or rather amateur version of Qinggong? Do you think that wuxia writers had this type of exercise in mind when they were writing?

It would lose its water-skimming ability at that size, however.

Parkour is maneuvers that follow the idea of getting a person from point A to point B in the most direct manner.
Qinggong involves breathing exercises and developing qi. Qinggong practitioners were said to be able to jump much higher than a normal person. Parkour doesn't allow any of that.

Wei Fuwang of HSDS seemed to have the weakest inner energy of all the guardians but no one can surpass his speed skill. So, wouldn't Parkour be amateur version of Qinggong but without internal energy?
