Like the ost in state of divinity 96 which makes the series so good.

some reason i couldn't get into 2001 with li ya peng.

state of divinity 2000, richie ren, hes limited, his facial expression doesn't change much. i do like em as a actor and singer, but hes more of the side kick instead of main character if you know what i mean.

2000 version, i enjoyed the fight scenes but the female leads besides anita, was horrible.

can't find vids of the legendary swordsmen with steven ma jing tao and fann wong

i like this one probably because they changed the story, made it like the jet li swordsmen 2, but the slow mo fight scenes were annoying. and stevens hair style was horrible, even tho they were trying to make em look like leslie cheung in bride with white hair.

chow yun fats one, i didn't really like, cuz he too seem more like a support, side kick character then main. don't get me wrong, he is a good actor, but didn't seem suited for that role. probably like tien bu gong or something.

Man, watching the theme intro video makes me want to rewatch XAJH1996 again. I've rewatched it many times, but not much in the last 3 years. I think I should rewatch it again sometime soon. I miss watching it.

I've just finished watching the CCTV version and liked it a lot. Xu Qing is a great RYY and Li Yapeng is not bad either, and they have a great chemistry. The supporting cast, with a few notable exception is also good. Yilin is just exactly as I imagined her to be --- and the nuns really shaved their heads. I love the realistic, grim n gritty feel. Fighting scenes are generally enjoyable to watch, and with virtually no cheesy sfx, which is a big plus for me. I think they sucessfully captured the book's poetic/ quieter moods very well. I wish that they hadn't tamper with the plot so much, though. I'd love to see the cave fight near the end and LHC and RYY's wedding.

I watched Chow Yun Fat's SPW as a teenager back in the 80's --- I didn't like it back then and watching some clips of it recently reminded me why. CYF is just --- so not LHC, and the sfx was horrid, even for those days.

I haven't watched the Steve Ma and RR versions, but based on the few clips that I've seen, they both seem terribly miscasted as LHC. I can't stand Steve Ma's horrible permed hair and feathery costume!

I want to watch Jackie Lui's version. Is it available online with English subtitle?

LOL. In this video, there is one comment beneath it and that's mine. I remember watching this video a while ago. I agree. The OST is great and the Xiao Ao Jiang Hu song with LHC and RYY is my favorite of all the adaptations. It's catchy and very 'happy'. Not as depressing, which I feel fits LHC.
