I think of Felix too because DGSD 1997 is the only adaptation I've paid complete attention to. There's just something about Hu Jun's portrayal that doesn't reel me in.

Felix. Though I remember Felix more in LOCH.
Also, Hu Jun. But it is more because of adorable and pretty Ah Zhu in this series.
Leung Ga Yan. He just looks like a guy you'd call "Kiu Fung."

I thought most of the other actors who portrayed the character looked a little too genteel and didn't quite have the requisite "roughness" that Kiu Fung should have.

Leung Kar Yan wasn't my favourite, but for more than 15 years of my life he was the only "Kiu Fung" I knew (in fact, until he became Guo Jing in ROCH I knew him as Kiu Fung and had no idea what his real name was), and hence he's always the one which comes to mind. If you told me "Xiao Feng" in Mandarin I'd think of Hu Jun, though. Felix will always be "Gwok Ching" to me rather than "Kiu Fung".
I saw Felix Wong in three or four other roles before I saw him as Gwok Jing in LOCH '82 (including as Hui Juk in DGSD '81), but somehow, his other roles didn't stick with me. Whenever I see Felix Wong, I think "Gwok Jing." I never think of him as Hui Juk except when I see him playing the role, and even then, he seems kind of awkward and unfitting in the role.
I agree with Ken on this one.
Oddly enough, I think of Jimmy Lin when I think of Duan Yu.
I like me.
Actually I don't really think of any actor. Felix just didn't cut it for me as XF since I always thought of him as GJ, and while Hu Jun was a great XF, there was still something missing from his performance.
