I am so hyped for Precious Youth. It seems like it'll be really well-made and the trailers seem very thoughtful/mellow. Huge bonus that LSS and Zheng Kai both look so good (separately and together).

Ok.. now that I've finished watching Precious Youth, I can say that it wasn't worth watching LOL the trailers were very different from the show. Trailers made it seem like the show would be thoughtful, but the show turned out to be A LOT of filler scenes. There were way too many characters who got too much screen time just so they could tie the knots at the end. At least Zheng Kai and LSS really did look great together. Too bad they had so little happy scenes :/ There was honestly wayy TOO much of the abusive boyfriend/husband. It was so frustrating how many times she forgave him and went back to him. It's realistic but it made for a hard-to-watch show. The pace was also extremely slow and too true to life. It's a drama, it should've moved faster. This drama probably took five years of my life for how much hypertension it caused me. I'm gonna try to finish The Imperial Doctress next and hopefully don't die from frustration lol.

@KoolPerson100 LOL... I'm glad my review did something for someone.

I can give my review for Imperial Doctress now, too, actually. I would say I enjoyed this SO much more than Precious Youth. Once I was able to get past the part where LSS's character kept getting herself in trouble (all bc she was dumb lol), I was able to enjoy the show a lot better. Unfortunately, there was really little mutual interactions between LSS and Wallace's characters. Which was a shame bc that was easily the best part of the show. They were both principled people who deeply cared for each other. Their relationship was built on respect, something that lacked between LSS and the prince. Lord, I despised the prince. He wasn't just a coward who went back on his words, but he was also an abusive rapist. It was basically experiencing the husband from Precious Youth all over again lmao. My lifespan was shortened by a few years from watching Precious Youth & Imperial Doctress back to back. The only "obstacle" between LSS and Wallace that I acknowledge as reasonable was the empress. It made sense that they didn't get together (or well, this was mostly bc of LSS's decision lol I think Wallace cared less) because they both loved & cared for the empress so much that they wanted to do right by her. Speaking of which, the sisterhood between LSS and the empress was great. They were both so understanding and respectful of each other. I can always appreciate nice relationships between female characters in tv dramas.
