Did you find the Golden Wheel Monk impressive *at first*?

OK...we all know by now that the Golden Wheel Monk's notorious choke factor makes him less a threat than he should be, but when he first showed up in ROCH and hadn't choked away any fights yet, did he impress you? Did you actually find him threatening/menacing?

Was quite impressed when he first appeared at the Heroes Meeting, but it didn't take much to impress a little kid.

He started choking almost right away, though. I think we might have suspected that he wasn't quite what he seemed when he struggled against Little Dragon Girl. He *sort* of redeemed himself when he took Gwok Jing's Hong Lung 18 Palms head-on shortly afterwards, but even that was mitigated by the fact that he was more badly hurt than he let on.

I thought the palm exchanges weren't that bad in itself -- they're just bad when you more of him later on. The fight with XLN I don't mind either, as she was just dodging and Ancient Tomb lightness skill was hyped up a lot. Even Ouyang Ke was able to dodge Hong Qigong for a bit during their little contest on Peach Blossom Island.
