    Default Wuxia reading suggestions

are there any good Wuxia stories that are not the classic ones such as Condor Hero, The Dear and The Cauldron? I'm sick of those. It's better if it leans more on the romance side

    thanks

Many of Gu Long's novels are off the mainstream radar. Check out his bibliography.

Flower-Guarding Bell has a nice (if rather unrealistically resolved) love triangle, while Righteous Blood Cleansing Silver Spear has some really nice boy-girl scenes, even if they're not really that romantic. If you like powerful and resourceful heroines dealing with straight, honest and upright heroes, then it's quite fun too.

Liang YuSheng's Feiyan JingLong and Fengyu Yan Guilai are not bad.

Feiyan Jinglong (飛燕驚龍) is a Wolong Sheng (臥龍生) novel. So is Fengyu Yan Guilai (風雨燕歸來).

I'm looking for some suggestions from newer writers as well - especially from post-1990. I've heard of Huang Yi, but his most famous books are awfully long, so is there anything short and sweet? I've read some Tong Hua recently, and her works have been great, although they're not wuxia.

Are Gu Long's other books that good? I'm reading the Chu Liuxiang novels right now, and while he has good ideas, the writing isn't very good. Some of the female characters are particularly dire.
