Default TVB 80's and 90's (and HSDS 2000!) series accuracy

I just noticed something kind of amusing in the way the Brightness Peak battle was handled in '86 HSDS and '00 HSDS.

To my memory, there are a couple important fights with some filler, but the fights that were accurately depicted in one adaption seemed to be glossed over in the other, and the ones that are inaccurate in one were accurate in the other!

    The notable fights:

White Browed Eagle Yin Tianzheng fights the 4th Wudang Hero, the 7th Wudang Hero, and then the 1st Hero in the novel. In the '86 adaption this is fairly accurate up to matching palms with the 4th Hero and winning by a hair in palm strength, getting injured by the 7th Hero's sword but capturing him and releasing him without breaking his bones. The last fight was not shown, but that is incredibly accurate for a series already. In the '00 adaption, it shows him getting stabbed by the eldest Hero then getting challenged by Song Qingshu, which is completely wrong especially since the fight with Song involved no inner strength or weapons.

Next comes the fight with the Kongtong elder, which is completely skipped in the '86 one. In the '00 one, it accurately shows Wuji defeating him/them handily, including breaking the tree and healing his internal injuries with his inner strength.

Then comes the Kunlun/Huashan Reverse and Regular swordplay formation, which the '86 one shows, but does not mention any significance in it. It is just a random Kunlun fight. In the '00 one, they correctly mention that it is a Huashan/Kunlun combination along with it being awesomely powerful because it is a reverse and regular swordplay, and Wuji upon hearing Zhiruo's advice uses Qiankun to redirect the swords.

The fight with Miejue in the '86 one just shows him using Qiankun to quickly defeat Miejue by swallowing her sword (lol), but the '00 correctly shows him attacking Emei disciples to use their swords to stun Miejue and ultimately grabbing Zhiruo and her sword for the win.

The fight with Song Qingshu is very accurate in the '86 version complete with the background dialogue from the Wudang heroes, but of course in the '00 one they completely botch the fight and put it in the wrong sequence without any Wudang commentary.

I wonder if it's like this in any other series?

The 1979 version was really good when it came to the Kongdong fight, down to the details of how Yin Tianzheng broke Tang Wenliang's (or was it another elder) leg, and how Zong Wenxia kicked that stone at Yin Tianzheng's face, hitting him when he was too tired to dodge. It also had Yin Tianzheng and Song Yuanqiao competing in palm technique.

Just watched the 3 fights at Wudang too. '86 gets it more or less completely accurate, and '00 gets nothing accurate.

It's just kind of funny how it seems like they're trying to do the opposite.
