Yup, having descended from Concubine Li he was supposed to be the most handsome guy ever. But that's not my biggest gripe.

Du Chun as Meng Jue: I guess TH got her wish. She's always said that Du Chun has the right aura for MJ. Ignoring the fact that he's twice MJ's age...sigh. MJ is a complex character. DC doesn't have the right looks so I just hope he has the right acting chops for this.

Lu Yi as Liu Fuling: Incredibly disappointing. I have nothing against LY, just can't imagine him as Ling Gege AT ALL. Once again an age issue. This is what happens when we've all been imagining Chen Xiao as LFL. Thanks a lot Yu Zheng. I would much rather a young unknown actor be chosen for the leading roles.

Angelebaby as Yun Ge: Looks-wise and age-wise, I have no problems. I just hope she can act. Honestly, after the YSS scare, I would have taken ANYONE as Yun Ge.

Tell me about it. The age gap is just way too huge for these two to look their part. Also, I really want to see where Tong Hua is seeing this 'aura' she speaks of because there is definitely none of it in the pictures.
Lu Yi as LFL will be harder to deal with because I keep imagining him with his Zhuge Liang beard from Three Kingdoms.

I don't understand what Tong Hua was thinking when she allowed YZ to make this drama adaptations. I was totally banking on Zhao Liying and Chen Xiao as Yun Ge and Liu Fuling.

I imagined him to be outwardly frail (almost Meng Jiu-esque) but characteristically strong like young Wallace or Chen Xiao..both delicately strong beautiful men.

If YZG turns out the way Swordsman did, I might end up watching it for Chen Xiao (I've become quite fond of him lately ) and Su Qing.
