Default Soaring Swallows Startle Dragons 飛燕驚龍 by Wolong Sheng 臥龍生

If there's anyone still wandering around here looking for new translations of wuxia, I'm translating Wolong Sheng's seminal 1958 wuxia novels Soaring Swallows Startle Dragons. This was the novel that defined the Nine Major Martial Arts Schools (Shaolin, Wudang, Kongtong, Diancang, Qingcheng, Kunlun, Emei, Mount Snow, and Mout Hua) as the main scope of the martial world. It also popularized the trope of the martial world vying for a martial arts manual, and the trope of a villain trying to take over and unify the martial world, which would become one of the major plotlines of the wuxia genre thenceforth. It did a lot to influence and shape the genre we know today.

Translation is actively going now. You can read it here: https://wuxiawanderings.com/wuxia/wo...artle-dragons/
