Default How long before internal energy "runs out" in battle?

Take for example Xiao Feng at the Hero's Manor, taking out esteemed warrior after esteemed warrior with palm blast after palm blast. Even though he was using, assumingly, an incredible amount of his energy with the XL28Z, he didn't seem ready to falter any time soon. However, let's say he just kept going and every stance he performs is another full-powered palm, how long before he finally depletes his energy?

It depends. Certain systems, such as 9 Yum Jen Ging and 9 Yeung Jen Ging, can keep the user going for a very long time.

It still seems strange to me that Shaolin monk Gok Yeun exhausted his store of 9 Yeung energy so quickly.

I don't remember exactly, but when he was using full powered blasts against Murong Fu and You Tanzhi, I think it was said he would run out within 2 hours; which is a crazy amount of time when you think about it. Whenever us regular humans exert ourselves fully in any activity, we'd be tired within minutes.

At the manor at least there were a lot of pauses, he was able to grab some weapons, and the people there were generally much weaker than him.

Even though there were pauses, it probably wasn't enough for him to regain a lot of energy lost in the battle even with rest, seeing as he was able to kill many people outright with his palm strikes in the beginning. His fight with YTZ and MRF is quite "superhuman," as many of the high level fighters were capable of doing, but it seems to contradict his fight at the Hero's Manor. This is even considering that XF was using weapons for half of that slaughter, and comparably how highly skilled YTZ and MRF were at that point (well, maybe not MRF). YTZ was at least XF's equal but really didn't know what to do with himself, and MRF was...well, MRF.

While it is the general consensus that XF would beat GJ in a one-on-one battle, GJ is definitely the most proficient (arguably the best) user of the XLwhateverZ in the canon of Jin Yong due to his mastery of 9 Yin. But let's even the playing field and use the Hero's Manor as a constant: XF and GJ at the Hero's Manor in the same situation, with XF at his peak (pretty much the same point) and GJ at his peak (ROCH Great, arguably slightly less than XF). Which character would kill the most people before "running out?"

What about Yang Guo with his unorthodox internal and Melancholic Palms/maybe Heavy Iron Sword even though he only used it for a second in the story (end of ROCH)? How many would he be able to kill before he depletes his energy?

And then, to promote discussion (and complicate things more), what about ZWJ with his QKDNY/Holy Flame Tablets/Taiji Skills and 9 Yang (at his peak, probably end of HSDS)? Would he even be able to go on the offensive with his set of skills?

What about ZBT and the rest of the Greats? How long would they last (end of ROCH, peak of their skills)?
