Joe Chen is also very appreciative of the people who gave her the opportunity to prove herself. There were a few award ceremonies that she specially thanked Yu Zheng for giving her the opportunity to portray Dongfang Bu Bai in her own way. Her portrayal as Dongfang Bu Bai has indeed helped her gain much popularity. It is also rare to find such down to earth actress such as her these days.

After watching her television interviews and the way she talks, I agree that she comes across as someone who has gratitude.. Her straightforward personality and not afraid to speak her mind is what makes her really stand out.

In the entertainment industry where people tend to put up false facades for the sake of being pleasing to certain individuals, rarely do we see actresses like Joe Chen who's not afraid to speak her mind. She's just being true to herself and thus being true to people around her, fans, co-workers alike.
I admire Joe for her courage and honesty.

And yes I like the way she such down to earth and grateful. Thought personally I’m not that like Yu Zheng, but I have to agree that because of him Joe Chen have the opportunity to portray such a breakthrough role “DFBB”. And let many people who aren't too fancy (or didn’t watch) idol drama got to know her. Then she be more widely known and accepted.
On Joe Chen side, she finally venture into wuxia world and the most important thing she could challenge her acting skill.

Oh, She also used to made special mention of Chen Yu Shan, Su Li Juan, Chen Ming Zhang and SETTV, etc. If you know what I mean, I truly believe that she is very talented and could succeed in many types of dramas, But... they gave her opportunities when she wasn't supposed to have any *coughs Sun De Rong*; believed in her when others didn't... So she would like to thank them for all that they have done for her. It's nice to see an actress be so openly grateful.

CQE looks good in ancient dramas. Hope that she will be casting in more of those. The Monkey King looks interesting.

Actually if not because whatever ill-treatments the former management company put on Joe. We could see her act in movie, wuxia, and ancient long long ago.

When Joe herself and her fans feel that Joe should broaden her horizons, explore new territories in terms of her acting. Sounds didn't make sense at all.. even after her dramas Prince Turns To Frog & Fated To Love You broke rating records and very popular in Asia; But the fact was J-Stars tends to rejected many Joe's offered projects included movies and wuxia roles, forced her did hosting jobs, and just keep her did that fairytales idol drama roles over and over.

For all the injustice and bad treatments dished out to Joe from Sun De Rong (former Jungiery/J-Stars manager), we were so glad her contracted ended in 2009 and she had left J-Stars. After that she focus her career in China

Looking forward to more wuxia series from Joe. I loved how she played a strong and uncompromising DFBB who had a soft side in her too. Her facial expression when she's with LHC or Yi Lin and when she's with her rivals / subordinates were completely different. She is indeed a rare talent in this era.
