Default Wouldn't it have been more convenient for Cheun Jen Sect to execute the Jin flunkies?

Near the end of LOCH, Chow Bak Tung and Yau Chui Gei took the former Jin flunkies Sa Tung Teen, Pang Lin Fu, and Ling Tze Seung Yan into Cheun Jen Sect custody, where they were held prisoner for at least the next thirty years when they unexpectedly reemerged near the end of ROCH to reveal the truth about Yeung Hong's life of misdeeds to Yeung Gor.

At the time that Jin Yong wrote the ending of LOCH, however, it's doubtful he already had in mind how he would use these characters again at the end of ROCH. If that is indeed the case, why did Jin Yong choose to have the Jin flunkies alive in Cheun Jen Sect custody for decades? Incarcerating the flunkies at Chung Yeung Temple meant expending valuable resources on housing, feeding, and securing them. Considering the long rap sheet of crimes the flunkies had accumulated during LOCH, nobody in wulin would have faulted the Cheun Jen Sect for just executing those guys.

Same reason why Shaolin in DGSD, for example, put Ding Chunqiu into perpetual captivity, even though he was a mass murderer who had murdered Shaolin disciples as well; out of the hope to be able to get them to reform and repent. Quanzhen was, after all, a religious sect as well, not just a martial arts sect, with a high emphasis on spirituality.

Yup, pretty sure repent was the key. Although the taoists apperently didnt have any issues gouging out eyes and crippling people however.
