Dear Giddens Ko fans and followers of this thread,

I'm sorry to report that this weekend I had a bit of an accident. My right forearm went through a glass door, leaving me with a deep laceration, two severed tendons, and a third tendon severely injured. I had surgery early Sunday morning, and the doctors say I'll make a full recovery in about six weeks. My right hand is in a cast to keep my hand bent so that the tendons will heal properly.

The severed tendons don't affect my fingers, but the damaged non-severed one is the one that controls my thumb. The pain isn't too bad, but bad enough that I can't type with my right hand for the moment. I'm typing this message with my left index finger, and it's agonizingly slow! So, for the time being I'm going to have to put the translation on pause. I may be able to start typing again relatively soon, but we will have to wait and see. At longest it will be six weeks. Sorry for the inconvenience, I'll do my best to heal up ASAP so that I can keep the story going!

Not to sound like I only want translations (*whistles innocently), but if you do need to type other things I know my friend uses voice translation software for most of his work since he has some sort of tendonitis that makes his fingers hurt if he types for more than 20 or so minutes.

Though I'd think by the time you get used to it, your hand would probably be healed by then. Got a bit angry at some world cup results?

When I was younger I tried to close a glass window pane and it broke and my hand went through it. I had to have 28 stitches on my left wrist. But other than that everything is ok. Get well and think positively. It could have been worse. Take care.
