Wallace Huo and Zhao LiYing theme song with English subs was posted on Wallace Huo Facebook. Here it is:

Count down to the drama. ONE more day!

Jiang Xin is beautiful. Loves her dark and light purple costumes.

Zhao Li Ying has been reported to cheekily reveal: "The kiss scenes are unlike anything seen before, they will make your heart race." If they stick to what they have in the novel, especially later scenes when Hua Qian Gu is a demon goddess, I'm not surprised.

LOL, sounds like Demon Goddess will seduce Bai Zi Hua? That is the only way to make my heart race.

Unintentional seduction . Far more interesting. I would say it's more driven by Bai Zi Hua's development than anything else.

You can find the rest of the episodes by the uploader.

Surprisingly, the pace of this drama is pretty good after 4 episodes. The various characters are slowly developing as the story progresses. Love the costumes. Simple, soft and elegant.

Oh Gosh! Tang Bao is so cute! Does anyone know if it is a boy or a girl?

Are you referring to the little worm? If so, the worm is a girl. The drama is now English subbed and available on viki.com.

A few criticisms: transitions are really choppy, makeup is kinda thick (heavy hand with the eyeliner and eyebrows), the "tests" are laughable easy. I cringed so hard watching the disciples in Chang Liu "train". It was a bunch of wishy-washy hand movements...There were a few WTF moments, like when Man Tian declared HQG her friend. Don't know if it's the editing or if the book is like this, but everything was so sudden. Lol.

Otherwise, I'm really enjoying this show. Dongfang Yuqing is so lovable as the bumbling scholar. I had an inking about his identity, so I went and rewatched the trailer and it turns out I was right. I want him to just be an innocent, happy fellow...

Also, I really want my own spirit worm. It's so cute. The dubbing voice makes it 10x cuter.

For those who are interested, you may be able to watch live online telecast on these links. The drama starts Hunan 10.00pm every Tuesday and Wednesday. You will have to convert Hunan time to your local time and click on these links at the right time.

Alternatively, you can watch later via SOKU.

I heard the iQiYi broadcast is the uncut version. I personally couldn't access this link so it may only be available in China.

I have to say I really like this drama. I have watched a lot of XianXia and WuXia in past few years but I seldom find one that has the right feel. But TJOF has really got me hooked. The costumes and hairstyles are elegant and simple and the scenery is breathtaking. There is a lot of CGI but it not overdone or cheap looking. And the fights actually look good.

I have not read the novel but so far, I have not found anything that is irritatingly out of place in terms of dialogue or sets. The plot development is smooth though quick. But I agree with happyswallow that some scenes seem a little sudden.

The character HQG is really likable. Though a lot of the males like her, but she's not a Mary Sue. She has a lot of spark and personality and not overly naive. I look forward to the drastic changes as she develops.

Though I started out to watch this series for the OTP HQG and BZH, but now I am chasing it for the secondary characters. My favourite characters at the moment are Dong Fang Yu Qing, Tang Bao and strangely Luo Shiyi. The scenes between Tang Bao and Luo Shiyi are really cute and warm. Tang Bao is so expressive. And I love it when Tang Bao jumps up and down and calls "Mum & Dad!"

Not bad so far. Didn't expect myself to be hooked...The costumes are not bad. The CGI and fight scenes are surprisingly decent.
I started out watching this for Wallace but his character has done nothing but bore me and sometimes annoy me, atm lol. Tbh, I'm really liking the character HQG thus far and how ZLY portrayed her, which tells a lot given that I've never been impressed with any of ZLY's roles until today. Tang Bao is cute af and my heart flutters every time Dong Fang Yu Qing appears bc ugh he is just so charming and adorable lmao. I also researched and found out about the identity of DFYQ and his ending and I'm so just want him to stay as a charming, innocent and bright character lol.

charbydis, I also find Tang Bao and Shiyi super cute. Shiyi is like a super nice college geek. It will be interesting to see how Tang Bao and Shiyi relationship develops when Tang Bao morphed into a girl (not sure how and why since I didn't read the novel).

I think to understand Man Tian's declaration of being Qian Gu's friend we have to understand her nature. Remember Man Tian's feet was hurt when she went through the three pools - love, desire and greed. Man Tian is like the 'spoiled rich girl wanting to be the cool leader in school'. Her declaration of friendship towards Qian Gu is not out of sincerity but to feed her own superiority complex and ego. It's like .. "hey aren't you lucky that I considered you my best friend and I am most capable to take care of you". Man Tian thinks Qian Gu is weak so she doesn't look at her as a competitor .... yet.

I think out of the handful of young men (exclude Bai Zi Hua since his relationship with Qian Gu starts off as teacher-disciple and not as peers/fellow students), Lang Ge Ge is the most sincere. He is truly smittened with Qian Gu. Dong Fang and Sha Qian Mo both have motive to be close to Qian Gu (at least in the beginning... have to see the story to see how it progresses).

I like the pace of the story. Slowly connecting the dots, understanding the various characters, who they are and how they relate to each in future.

    @happyswallow
Happy to see you here and still into wuxia

After 8 episodes, I like all characters. It's true Qian Bo/Ma Ke have a huge makeup on his face. Are he really suppose to be the more beautiful guy in all 6 realms? Still I find he lovable when he take care and protect Qian Gu. Wallace/Zi Hua and Qian Gu/Li Ying got a chemistry together and we seem to explore slowly the story between them. CGI isn't too heavy and the place they choose to filming was so beautiful and enchanted. With all teasers we got for, I really hope we have a happy ending because everytime I listening the ending song, I just want to cry. With the spoils from the teaser, Dong Fang identity isn't hard to find who he is
    Waiting for ep 09 now
